  2. Thats a great idea. I am having trouble now. I was banded on Dec 29th. I seem to still just eat whatever is in sight and its not bothering me unless I eat to much. I dont get my first fill until Feb 16. I think if you contiune to post your eating day to day I am gonna follow your from the day before. If thats ok with you.I was 243 on Dec 17th and I went to the doctor on Jan 12th and was 226. I thought I should have lost more weight than that but the doctor was ok with it. 17 pounds just aren't enough for me. She even told me that I night gain some weight before I get my fill. Any other ideas you have would be really great. Thanks for your help in advance.
  3. Man, I never thought that I was gonna be able to say that I was already banded. WOO HOO.. I was 243 on Dec 17 at my pre-op diet. On Jan 12 at mt post-op appointment I was 226. :sneaky: 17 pounds WOW. I thought that I should have lost more but my doctor (Dr. Tiffany Jessee in Largo, Fl) thought I was doing great. I go back for my first fill/adjustment on Feb 16. Dr Jessee said that, thats when I will really see the weight difference. My goal weight is 170. That means I only have 56 pounds to go. If anyone is in the Tampa Bay area and would like information on the surgery or Dr Jessee please feel free to email me at xeina000@aol.com. She is great. Excellent bedside manner. Down right GREAT!
  4. Hello Everyone, My name is Shannon. Iam 34 and I have been a complete yo-yo dieter for the last 10 years. In Aug of 06 my highest weight ever was 276. And in Sept of 07 I was at the lowest and can remember 201. I did it all myself with alot of walking, b12 shots and pushing away from the table and driving past McDonalds. Well today (Dec 9,2008) believe it or not I am back up to 245. I cant beleive how easy it is to go back and forth. Well I have talked and read about the Lap-Band for about 5 years now. I was going to try and get the gastric bypass but my insurance at the time denied me saying that if I got all the correct paperwork the would approve the lap-band. Well guess what... I got the paperwork started and then my employer changed insurance. I got pissed off and gave up on them and started on it myself. Well now my same employer has worked with my insurance company and they are going to approve the band. YES, I can finally get banded, guess what now they need 6 months and I got 18 months of paperwork. I have completed everything my insurance and doctors (Dr Jessee) office need. I have had the psych eval, all paperwork is in, lad work, letter from primary care and my have my 1000.00 that the surgeons office charges. I go meet with Dr Jessee on the 17th of Dec. On that day I am paying and getting my Protein. I will be put on the schedule that day for surgery. WOO HOO... My only concern is getting sick. I have the idea of every vomitting. I am so ready. I hope on my visit with Dr Jessee there is no over obstacles I have to cross. WISH ME LUCK... Thanks
