What should restriction feel like??
With all respect I would like to correct you in response stating that I am not restricted. I do have some restriction I can tell in my portion size instead of eating the whole plate like I use to, I now can only eat half. I do not want my band so tight till where I can't even drink water or eating a slice of meat without getting sick. And that's the testimony that I hear from some people. I also will like the state that I'm right on target, I am losing my 2-3 pounds a week as expected. Remember the band is a tool, we must still practice discipline. So my dear I do have some restrictions, it's just not super tight. I just had my second fill 3/17/09 and up till this date I have lost 6 pounds.

What should restriction feel like??
Hi when you first start getting your fills depending on how much the doctor fills you with you are restricted but it's not drastic, but know that you do have the restriction. Pay attention and compare on how you use to eat in the past vs how much you can eat now. Sometimes I feel like I'm not on restriction but I know that I do have one, (e.g. instead of eating a whole sub sandwich, french fries and a drink) like I use to do now I only eat 1/2 a sandwich a couple of fries and some ice cubes, (I can still eat what I want, I don't feel deprived), but over all I've learn that the band is just a tool and you have change your relationship with food (learn to choose the right food) get active and you will see the change. Don't be discourage just change your food diet and get active.

Count down!!!
I'm so happy for you. I know that all is going to go well. I was band 12/08 and I have not had any probrems. Remember that the band is just "A Tool", not a miricle worker, but I can tell you this, if you work with the band it will work for you. I've lost 54 pounds up til this date and I feel great. I can't even tell that the band is there, I'm very active. Well, tell we talk again, God Bless you and I'm excited about your future.

last minute questions/advice
Hi, I was banded 12/08 and what I've come to realized that everybody is different with different experiences. But I will say stay positive, even if you feel like that you is not losing the weight as fast as others. Me and a friend had the procedure done at the same time, my weight loss is more noticeable than hers, but I she looks great, but she don't see it yet. So in a nut shell "DON'T COMPARE YOUR WEIGHT LOSS WITH OTHERS". It's been three months and I feel great, I have lost 51 pounds thus far. Remember that band is a tool and it do work but you got to work with it. Get familar with the band and know what your food portion side is. Remember stay positive and all is going to work out fine.

Confussed
Hello, when people found out that I was getting band, I some people for me and some didn't wanted me to have the procedure done. But I had to come to grips to what was right for me and this time in my life. Yes, I was nervous all the way up to the "knock out medicine", but I had peace and joy and I knew that this was right for me. Since being band (12/18/08), I'm down 47lbs and the people that didn't want me to have the band now they are happy for me.. So go for it and may God bless you. Oh, p.s. I HAVE NO REGRETS!

Anyone else battling fatigue?
Hello Everyone, thanks so much for sharing this information on fatigue. I was band on 12/18 and I've been tired ever since. Today, 12/5, I'm just really getting my energy back. But I have to pace myself or I'll get tired. I also just want to go to bed, not because I'm sleeping but just simply TIRED. I'm not sick or in pain. I'm not going through any withdrawal. I'm taking Floradix liquid Iron and multi-Vitamins so hopefully this will do the work. Any other suggestions please let me know. And once again thanks and I hope all is well with everyone.

HELP! I'm starving already...It's in my head, right?
It starts in the head, you no that saying "we want what we can't have" so everything is magnified. Change your mind set on food, talk yourself though the craving, by asking "why do I want to eat this food", it's going to to be tough but you can do it. As I'm in my pre-op and it's been challening but I'm doing. But over all it's been cool. So far I lost 12 lbs in 6 days of pre-op. No there was time I start to feel qwizzie so I eat some crackers and I felt better. Hang on in there when your time comes. "YOU CAN DO IT".
