    Please Help.... Question???

Thanks so much to all of you for you responses!! I do appreciate it, and I will utilize the suggestions : )
  3. I got my surgery in early Dec 2008 and I noticed no difference at all, I have had 3 fills, the last one was almost 2 weeks ago, out of nowhere on Thursday I noticed a big difference, all of a sudden it "kicked" in but its very shocking as I was able to eat business as usual since the day of my surgery. I have been dieting but in terms of portions, there was no difference. Anyway since Thursday I am unable to eat most foods, it seems to get stuck and today I had that PB everyone is talking about. How do I know if the fill made it too tight or if this is what I have been waiting for and I just have to adjust and learn?? On three seperate occasions, I had a really hard time and the food felt stuck, it was VERY painful, so I have been trying to do some mushies for two days, but just now, I had a small piece of chicken and I had the worst pain EVER!! Is the band too tight or is this finally where the band is working and I need to adjust to new way of eating..... ???? Thanks everyone for your support, this has been a great site!

    First Fill

I had my first fill today..... all went smoothly. It did not hurt, it was a little strange feeling. I am hoping this works as I have not had any restriction since surgery!
  5. I am feeling the same exact way!!! I cannot get my first fill until last week in January, but I feel as though I can eat anything, just smaller portions, this is soooo strange I would never have expected anything like this, I am always hungry!:tongue_smilie:
  6. I am glad you wrote that..... I had the same issue! I was banded on 12/4, and for some reason I thought it was going to be more to the left and lower but mine is high up and more in the middle ( a lil closer to the left)! I was surprised as well!!!

    Hungry, Hungry, Hungry!!

I was banded 12/4 and I am experiencing the same thing! I feel sooooo hungry and the scary part is I have no restriction either. My doctor allowed me to do some mushy food starting today but I too am so worried I will gain back the 12lbs I lost eating Mashed Potatoes and cream soups all day!!! When does this hunger stop?? and why do some patients never get hungry??
  8. I had all the same pains you described..... it was awful!! I was banded on 12/4 and I did not feel better until yesterday! I dont know what happened but I woke up and most of the pain had gone away, Everyone told me to hang in there, it would get better, and it has... I did take Vicodin for pain 3 nights and helped! So make sure you take what the Dr. gives you..... I hope you both feel better soon!!
  9. V-Queen... that is exactly what happens to me... its quick and feels like it is taking my breath away after I change from laying to standing, or sitting to standing or vice versa... I too was wondering if this was the band?
  10. Thank you so much everyone for your kind words, I just got back to the computer and am reading your posts!! This website has really helped today!!
  11. Hi Everyone... had my surgery on 12/4 and I am really struggling. My chest is killing me!! I cant seem to get comfortable, and my emotional spirit is shot! I am trying to get used to this all but it seems alot worse than I had anticipated! I also feel VERY hungry but I am working hard to get my protein shakes in....and I have been drinking alot of water. Is anyone else recently banded having terrible pain in their chest???? :tt1:
