  1. Today's your surgery day...wishing you all the best...and welcome to the loser's bench...God bless!

  2. Hey Bobbie, Sorry to have been so out of touch...all has not been well...lots of PBing this month and I'm trying to get it together. I'll write more later this week. Hoping all is well since, you got that additional adjustment.

  3. Your welcome and congrats on dropping 8lbs ...it's so nice to see the scale moving in the right direction :)

I'm great, worked out for 90 mins today and feel amazingly well.

  4. You're a bandster!!!

For the gas pains, I used gas X strips and a heating pad...I would like on my back with the heating pad across my upper chest/stomach and turn every ten mins...which helped me move the gas....and sippin warm broth helped as well...

I saw my surgeon on Friday the 10th and he advanced me to first phase of mushies...he said I could have hot cereal (thin oatmeal is ok) soft scramble egg and mash potato...he said to wait a week for soft meats..like tuna and chicken salad...beef should be tried last since it's hard for the body to breakdown. So, my first mushie meal was cream of wild rice soup...but, this time I didn't strain it...as I had been doing. Are you on full liquids yet? Have you weighed yourself yet?

  5. Keeping you in my thoughts today....

  6. Thanks for checking in...it's my first day at home and I was so tired, napped for 3 hours in my own comfy bed...then, could barely get out of it...I feel like I did 1000 sit ups...sore but, no pain.

  7. Thanks for everything ladies :)

  8. Hi Linette, I'm Regina and I was approved on April 23, with surgery schedule for July 1st. Keep me posted on your surgery date.

  9. Hey Girl,

Finally finished the 6 month diet on April 9th they submitted to insurance, got the pre certification letter on April 23 and surgery is scheduled for July 1st...I'm excited but wish my surgeon wasn't go busy was hoping for an earlier date but, everything happens when it's suppose to...he's taking two weeks vacation in June and I'll be one of his first surgeries when he cames back....I think I like that...having a recently vacationed surgeon., LOL

Take good care and continue the great work you are doing. I did tell several co-workers but, have not told management just yet.

  10. congrats on getting banded. How are you feeling? Did you have support the first couple of days at home...I've been told post op day three is tough? I'll be banded here soon...waiting on insurance approval as I type. One co -worker knows because we shared a room while away at a 2 day conference and she mentioned that she was going through the progress. she was banded on Jan 27. 09 but, besides her and my bff that works on another floor, that's it....keeping private until after the fact.

  11. Hello Mercedes, I just happen to be at the computer...nice to met you. I'm Regina

  15. Babes, it's gonna be great. You have done alot of hard work and made alot of changes and yes, it's a process and the LAP-BAND? is a tool and you will use it to your advantage to let the world see the kathi you see in your heart. I'm so happy and proud of you. I saw the nutritionist today and go some good tips and I see the psyc/behavorial health guy on the 21st...I'm actually thankful for this insurance imposed 6 month diet...it's giving me the time to make the changes necessary for success.

Central PA...the sticks....I'm about an hour west of Harrisburg

  18. Hey Trina,

Thanks for the friend request. Like I said I just found this site the other night and I so excited to see so much positive love, support and advice. I don't have a surgery date but, the dieting is easier and I'm probably going to be banded in May of 2009. Keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing from you.
