Hello my sisters in lap band, how are you guys doing? I had a very busy day took my mother in law to get all her preop tests done she is scheduled for her lung surgery on Thursday. We are all very concerned for her its going to be a very long journey for her and I hate to see her suffer.

Hello my sisters in lap band how is everyone doing? I got through my my daughters 21s birthday. It was very nice. Its just so weird not to have a job I just feel so out of place and its going to be really difficult to look for a new one with having to take care of my mom and my mother in law I am just totally out of it. Laurel I am so glad that you are on the road to a full recovery. China you are so strong. Love you both.

Thank you for all the information Laurel its good to know all this stuff. How are you doing? Are you feeling better and getting stronger? I am having a hard time getting my head out of the fog with all the bad stuff that has happened this week. Its just so weird not going to my office after 30 years. Its really scary times and I am having a hard time dealing with the job loss and illnesses that have stricken my family. Well on a brighter note its my babies 21st birthday on Sunday and I am having a bbq for her with family and friends so I need to get into party mode. Its going to be tough but I have to do it for her. Hope all is well with you China. Love Rose

I am so glad that you are doing better Laurel. And thank you for giving us all that information I think that it will be very helpful for all of us. So did your original doctor that put the band in repair your band? Did you have to stay in the hospital for a few days? My doctor had told me that if anything ever happens that I am to call his office first because like you said so many ER rooms have no idea how to treat LB patients. It is pretty scary. Get well and stay strong. Like you said its been a crazy week. Hopefully things will get better. Rose

OMG I am so sorry to hear about everything that you have gone through Laurel. What exactly happened I think that we all need to learn so that we can try and avoid it happening. Did you eat something and it got stuck? I am sorry if I am being so nosey but I really want to know what you were feeling and how it all came about. I also have had some drama. I was laid off from my job of 30 years. Business is very slow and it was very hard for my boss to do it but I knew he had too. The next day I took my mother in law to the doctors and we found out that her colon cancer has spread to her liver and lungs so she is scheduled for surgery on 6/4. I guess everything happens for a reason I know will be taking care of my mother in law during this journey of hers. Its so sad to see our parents go through all this stuff. My mother has had 2 types of cancer and she currently lives with me and I care for her. So no its time for me to step up and do the same for my mother in law. She has no daughters, just 2 boys and my DH is so grateful that I will be taking care of her. He knows that he now has to be sole money maker and we will try and cut where we can to make ends meet. What a week and its only Wednesday. Glad you are doing well China. Love to all. Rose

Hello, China, Laurel and Candy How is everyone doing? All is well with me. I am planning my daughter's (my baby) 21st birthday on May 24th. It started out as we are going to have a small party well its ended up to big large we are about 80 people now. She is going to be fun she has no idea its going to be so large. She is a really good girl I am very proud of her. She has overcome a serious eating disorder that started when she was 16 and is now in nursing school and on top of her class. I have been so busy that I have not been working out but as soon as this party is over I am going to get back to working out everyday. I am looking forward to start swimming as the weather is getting hot. Love you ladies. Keep your head up China.

Hello my sisters, Well I had a fill today. He put in .5cc so now I have a total of 7cc in my 10cc band. The doctor was very happy I lost 6 lbs since my last visit. I asked him why I am losing so much slower than so many other people on this forum and others that I have met at the doctors office. He said it was because my BMI was not that high so I am going to lose at a much slower pace than people that have a higher BMI. He told me to patient and as long as the weight is coming off I should be happy. So I am going to try and stop comparing my weight loss to others and be happy with my own loss. HUGGG for you CHINA I am sorry to hear about your breakup. But you are strong and will get through it. We are here for you. Be strong and stay focused and think positive. If you are up to it and would like to share what happened we are here for you. I also went through a terrible breakup about 6 years ago but was able to pick myself up and meet the man of my dreams. It can happen to you too. DONT SETTLE. You deserve to be happy. I am here for you.

Hello Candy, I am sorry that you are having such a hard time. I guess every doctor does things different. My doctor does it by need. I have had 4 fills and now have 6cc in my 10cc band and I have lost 29 lbs in 5 months. Its coming off alot slower for me than for other people but as long as it comes off. Sounds like you definately need a fill. You should not be getting hungry inbetween meals and are you making good food choices? Are you exercising at all? I am here to help please feel free to ask anything.

Laurel I am so happy that you had such a nice mothers day. Mine too was very very nice. All my kids got together and took me to a family friends italian restaurant. We got treated so special and it was so nice to have the entire family together. I am been eating not so good things so its back on track this week. I see the doctor on Wednesday not sure if he will give me a fill or not. China did you do anything special for mothers day. Love you guys.

Sorry to hear about your son I know that feeling all to well my son lost his job last November and was unemployed for 5 months he just got a new job he had to take a cut in pay but its a good job. Don't worry he will get through it. As long as family sticks together it will be ok. Don't give up. Everyone have a great Mothers Day.....all my kids are taking me out for brunch. Love you Sisters

My promise to this group is to always be here for you guys and always support you and respect you for who we are and who we are going to become at the end of this journey. HEALTHY and FIT. I don't want to end up like my parents having so many health issues because of be obese. It killed my father and my mother is handicaped because of weight. I will not let that happen to me. You guys are all the best and I love our group. Great story China thank you for sharing. I am feeling alittle better I still have a bad cough so I am not back to exercising yet. We had some friends over Sat night and I got...WOW you look great. Made me feel good. I know that its coming off slow but slow is good. As long as its coming off. Love you guys. Hello Laurel and China I did found some immune busters and started taking them. I am feeling alittle better but the cough is really bothering me. I also lost my voice. I was suppose to have a community garage sale tomorrow but the DH decided that he would take care of it. I have no been working out at all with this cold. As soon as I get better I will back on track with the working out. I have been doing good with food....but thats not enought as we all know. Have a great weekend ladies.

Well everyone I am sick again.....this sucks since my surgery I have been sick three times. Great job Laurel. China keep up the good work.

I had a really bad "stuck" day yesterday. We were out to dinner and got stuck on a tortilla. Boy was I in pain the drive home was terrible....we got stuck in traffic thank god I had a plastic bag in the car....got sick 3 times in the car. The DH and DD were very concerned.....they really dont understand this whole stuck thing. I came home and went straight to bed it just wore me out. Feeling much better today....NO MORE TORTILLA's for me. Have a great day everyone.

Where is everyone? Hope everyone is doing well. It has been over 100 degrees for the past two days today was alittle cooler. Its hard to get motivated to work out when its so hot. I need to get back on track to working out. I have only worked out once this week. I am staying loyal to my food and portions.

Hubby bought me dream car a mercedes benz and its beautiful....he wanted me to get what I really wanted and did want me to settle. I felt guilty spending so much money but he was able to work out a deal since he is a radio announcer. So we got a great deal. I am very lucky. China I am glad you are feeling better since some fluid was taken out. Laurel I am sure you will get back on track. Cardovachick you are doing great. Lets all have a great week.

Good for you Cordova.....you are doing great. Since my last fill which was last Wednesday.....I have noticed a huge difference I may be at my sweet spot I have 7 cc in a 10cc band. Since Wednesday I have lost 3 lbs. I notice that I am not hungry between meals so no snacking. Glad that you are having a good time in Florida Laurel enjoy yourself. You deserve it. Welcome back China......I am so glad that you are alright. I am sorry that you are having so much problems since your fill. I can really feel the restriction since my last fill. I am only eating about half of what I used to eat. Lets see if the weight starts coming off now. I have increased my work out too. Hope everyone has a very happy easter.

Wow 60 lbs is wonderful. You should be very happy with that. The doctor told me that it does slow down alittle but if it completely stops you may need a small fill. Have a great time in Florida Laurel enjoy yourself....you deserve it. Where are you China I am very worried about you.

Dr. Coon and his staff are wonferful I had my surgery done by him and have been very pleased. Hope you had your surgery and everything went well.

Well I had my fill today and what he did was removed all the fluid out of my band and while the needle was still in he had me sit up and while he was filing me back up he had me drink while he was filling the band. I am now at 7cc's and am on liquids today and muchys tomorrow. We will see how things go. I sure hope China is ok. When do you leave for you vacation Laurel. Auggie you have track your food its really important.
