Hi! I think he mentioned taking 1 picture of the band (I guess so I believed that it was really inside me!) but I didn't know there was going to be a whole photo shoot! I asked him about them at my post op appt Monday, and he said they take the pictures mostly for themselves so they can have a record of the positioning and how much empty space there is. They can use it to compare to xrays later if they think I have a slip or something. But yeah, I wish I'd seen pics like these before surgery too.

ugh, I'm struggling with the liquids. I'm supposed to be on them until Friday, but I'm STARVING. I have a pre-op appointment tomorrow, so I'm hoping they'll let me start mushies early. Just curious, how are your incisions? Mine are so itchy! They're basically healed though.

Good luck on you first day back to work! Let me know how it goes. Let me know about those vitamins too! I'm taking a regular vitamin and hope that's enough to stop hairloss.

yeah, I haven't gone the *bathroom* either. . .I've been taking fiber tablets every night but I'll take a dulcolax today if nothing happens. I am so tired though. I go for an evening walk with my boyfriend every night, and it wears me out. I've been sleeping 10 hours a night. I shouldn't complain since I've hardly had any pain. When are you going back to work?

lol. It was my first time under anesthesia too. I remember them wheeling me into the OR and I was looking around at all the stuff and freaking out. The asked me to move over to the other bed and that's all I remember. I woke in recovery grumpy b/c the blood pressure cuff kept squeezing my arm every few minutes and it hurt! I got to the hospital at 10, the surgery was at 12:30, they took my to my room (which was private!) at 4, and I came home today around 10. I'm really not in that much pain except the gas in my shoulder. My stomach just feels tight and I feel like I need to burp all the time. WE DID IT!!! I'm really excited now b/c we'll get to start using our band soon!

hey! How are you feeling? We made it! I wasn't nervous until right before they wheeled me in. Then I started crying. I took off 2 weeks b/c I have a 45 minute commute and I wasn't going to try to drive that far! I'm praying we both have a speedy recovery too!

Yep, I'm on the high protein/low carb liquid diet too. I'm starting to get tired of my protein shakes. They taste okay, but 3 a day is getting a bit monotonous. I'm excited, but nervousness is starting to set in. . . I'm just trying not to get too nervous!
