well guys, I was back at the Hoff's today cause I was way too tight again, so he took out .5cc and wow what a difference. You wouldn't think .5 would make such a difference, but it does when your so close to the sweet spot. I'm not sure if I'm there yet but I am close. Rain, didn't you have an appt today, and China did you go yesterday? Where is everyone?

Hey China, I'm sorry I haven't called, but I was out of town for the weekend. Also, Jerry accidently erased your number from the machine so e-mail or call me. My e-mail is vslawich@gmail.com. so anyhoo, I went today and I didn't see you china. I did get 1 cc, his call, and I am feeling the restriction. I gained 20lbs in just a matter of weeks and I cried like a big boob, dr. H must have thought I was nuts!!!! So, I'm hopefully back on as of today..wish me luck. Good luck to you too Rain, I hope all goes well for you on your upcoming visit. How did you make out China?

good for you Rain, 1 lb is nothing, it could be water. I totally backslid and I'm having a terrible time getting my mojo back. I am starving all the time. I too think I will try just .5, although I feel alot looser at 5cc than before. He said every fill and unfill is different since the band settles some place different everytime, so I hope .5 is ok... we'll see.:tongue_smilie:

Rain, I hear you, I absolutely need a fill, desparately, I have gained a total of 20 lbs in just over a month, I am sooooo depressed. This will set me back 6 months or more groaaaaan. How about you, are you still holding your own or do you need more?...let me know how you make out on wed......good luck, vicki

Linda, I also get pain if I eat too much or drink, The pain is in my left shoulder and near my port and Barb told me that when the stomach is full it can pull on the stitches that keep the port in place, which are permanent. I also get pain in the sternum or middle chest if something is stuck, which doesn't happen very often anymore.... anyone have an appt on tues around 1:00?

go wherever they have grilled chick salad or order a meat entree with extra veggies and no potato. :thumbup:

Thanks again, I on the other hand continue to gain wt and am so very discouraged. I am up from 197 to 216 in only 2 weeks and I thought I was eating all the right things the past week. well, mostly anyway. so I hope the next fill will help, but just knowing I have to lose 19 lbs just to get to were I was is very upsetting. Rain I know how you feel cause I too weigh myself multiple times a day and night, Its like a compulsion and I too have given up the scale. hopefully we will get back on cause I feel like the band is not helping me anymore and it scares me....

Dear Rain, Bugs, and Shar, Thank you all so much for all your support over the weekend, My daughter found out today that the RN who gave her the results over the phone on Fri. made a mistake!!!!!! She does have cervical cancer, but not Stage 2. It is contained to the cervix only and they will remove the cervix but she will not need radiation or chemo as thought. she will have to have pap smears every 4 months now and watch that it does not come back...Please make sure you all get yearly paps, this was the scariest thing ever, and she is only 33 yrs old........I love you all.....vicki

thanx Shar, It is nice to have everyones support and to know you are praying for my daughter, I am so scared and I don't know what to do except pray. she is going to the doctor on mon. and then I will know more. and maybe get some Idea as to when I should fly down there. hey shar, I too am very discouraged, I gained the 14 lbs in 14 days, then got 1.5cc put back in but I can eat all I want and more, I dont know what my fill should be now, cause i am at 5cc and no restriction at all. I havent lost any of the weight I gained and might have gained a couple more. suppose to have an appt on the 7th, but just found out today my daughter who lives in Georgia with husband and two daugters has stage 2 cervical cancer and I cant even think straight right now, might have to fly out any time. vicki:sad:

Yea shar, I do think maybe a 1/2 cc more would do the trick, I will try and make the next meeting, its so nice to meet people you talk to online and put a face to the name. It sounds like it was a great meeting.. I too am discouraged, especially since I gained 14 pounds! all we can do is plug along and do out best. we will get there someday and hey its better than getting bigger as we might all have done without the band. :sad:

went to see Hoffman today and guess who I met... China!..It was great to meet another friend and supporter.. I also gained 14.1 lbs in 14 days, it gave me a new appreciation for my band. I am really upset cause I know it wont come off in 14 days. anyway, I did get back 1.5 cc so I am back up to 5 cc, and I do have some restriction, bur like Rain said and I agree, for myself anyway, 5.5 seems to be the magic number.. China, It was great meeting you and your mom today. How did you make out at Hoffmans???

yes Linda you are right, I felt good at 5.5 cc, then too tight at 6.5. I have 3.5 right now, and feel absolutly no restriction what so ever. I am glad your trip went well, I bet it is very exciting. I have dr. h tomorrow at 2 anyone else going?
