  1. Happy 4th Birthday OneHotMama!

  2. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary OneHotMama!

  3. Has anybody heard of this or had it done this way? I'm considering it but was curious if there might be any feedback on the board. You are awake through the whole process, they only use local anesthesia. It's kind of cool because they sit you up to look and make sure you're "happy" before they complete it. Plus, it's obviously cheaper with no anesthesiologist (sp?). So, anything you can offer would be appreciated.:crying:
  4. Wow! You must be so excited!! I see you "lost" a few tattoo's in the process? LOL I have one of those on (what should be) my front bikini line. It started out 2 feathers when I was 18 and after 3 children and a hundred pounds on and now 50 pounds off it sorely resembles a lobster! HAHAHA I'm hoping when I am as lucky as you to get my PS, the Doc can make that disappear too!!! CONGRATS ON YOUR SUCCESS!!!

    Confused - Need clarification

Fruit is horrible as far as carb content even though they are "natural sugars" they are still carbs. Look up info on the Atkins diet and that will help you learn about high protein, low carb ideas. Net carbs = total carbs - dietary fiber
  6. Check this one out. I just bought it last week and I love it! It holds everything in place perfectly!!! Just looked at your stats, you probably don't need a "full figure" bra anymore do you!! CONGRATS!!! Walmart.com: Sweet Nothings - Full Figure Convertible Strapless Bra: Women

Does your bra cause more restriction?

Interesting! My port only sits about 2 inches above my belly button so I don't think it hits the port directly but the squished tubing idea is a thought. At least I know I'm not alone!, THANKS! HEHE

Does your bra cause more restriction?

I know, I don't get it! Maybe it's all in my head but when I pull the band away from my body I notice a difference!!
  9. Ok, has anyone else noticed this or am I just weird? I've noticed when I have a tighter bra on (around, not cup size) I feel more restriction when I eat. Not that it's a bad thing, just curious if anybody else felt the same thing.

IMO, if they want to be truly fair and promote healthy living, they should go by body fat pecentage lost! Not just weight or overall weight percentage. The way it is now screws those that worked out harder (blue team) and yes I'm biased, I think Sione is HOT!!! hehe But really, how is it possible that white team dude won the at home, I know he's old and can't work out as much but loss of fat and increased muscle mass is more important then just lose of weight.
  11. Thanks for the comment! Doesn't it feel wonderful!!!!

    Reality Check!!

I've been acting all sorry for myself that I haven't lost much weight lately, which is totally on me. SOOOO, my husband and I were at costco the other day and we're in the meat section. He says "hold this" and puts a 20 pound pack of meat in my arms. I was like we're gonna buy this? Then he says, "no, wait" and he puts another 20 pound hunk in my arms! I totally didn't get it!! DUH!! He says "this is how much weight you've lost so far!" I wanted to cry! It was HEAVY!!!! It really did motivate me again, so we'll see how long it lasts at least until my next trip to Costco!!!! HAHA If you need a reality check about how much weight you've lost and how far you've come, TAKE A TRIP TO COSTCO!!!!!! Then enjoy the rest of your journey!
  14. hi thanx, for the boost ,made me feel good, but i need to lost one stone more,so i started to day herballife ,so let hope wht will be happen?

  15. Hi there! No I didn't get my band through Kaiser. My BMI wasn't high enough (38) and I had no co-morbids. I originally scheduled to self-pay with a place up here for $17k but the more I read these boards the more I started looking into Mexico as an option. I ended up with Dr. Aceves in Mexicali for $7k and very happy with the experience. So, sorry I couldn't help you with your question! ;-)
