  4. Thanks for the add. Where are you in the LB process?

  5. I am so mad at this new format...I cant find anything!!! ARGH!!!!

  6. Hey girl, welcome aboard! This is a great site to get all the info that you wont hear at the seminar. The good, the bad, the ugly and the SKINNY. If I can answer any questions for you let me know. Keep me posted ;v)

  7. hey girl, i am a big fan of "listening to your body" the whole band "sweet spot" is still a mysterty to me and since it isnt an exact science you kinda of have to just go with how you feel and how much effort you are putting i n vs your weight loss. they swear that my band is at optimal tightness (according to my last swallow test) but i swear that i can eat to much. im still learning, just trting to do the beat i can.i dont over eat mainly out of self control not out a feeling of fullness. like i said im still learning and still trying to get the last 30 or so pounds off. let me know ow your fill goes.

  8. well if you feel that you need a fill sooner then defintiely go in sooner, but really evaluate the band and your hunger. are you hungry sooner? can you eat larger amounts? have been able to start working out at all? if not that will make a world of difference. i got a small fill and statred having heartburn so she had to take it back out for now. id call and go in sooner.

  9. 5"5'? girl your scale must be broken! you cant possible be 185! you look great!

  10. OMG Girl you look fricken AMAZING!!!! I was just looking at your picturesand you look so tiny. How tall are you because you look so much smaller than 185! Just want to stop by and give another bandster some well deserved praise. Great JOB!

  11. i think alot of husbands have issues with heavy wives losing weight. my husband is a very smart man in the fact that he never said a word or made any remarks with every pound that i gained and conversely he hasnt said a word about my weight loss. although i will say that he is a silent passive agressive sabotager (meaning he'll bring home in-n-out burgers or my favorite from cold stone creamery). if its his night to plan dinner it is always mexican food or pizza or one of the many things that i shouldnt be eating to promote weight loss. keep me posted on your progess as i will you with mine. have a great week!

  12. over doing it is no fun. i had an encounter where i was so tight that i coul not even swallow my own saliva, it was the most uncomfortable experience ever. not painful but a pain in the ass. im hoping my fill this monday ill get where i want to be. i want to lose another 50 lbs by the end of the year and just be done witht the weight loss already and move on to the maintance phase. good luck o us both and 45 lbs in 3 months is awesome. pat yourself on the back for a great job done so far!

  13. hey thanks for the friend request, its alwya great to connect with new people who are going through the thing, i hope things are going great for you. im due for a fill in about week and i cant wait, im still not quite tight enough. good luck!

  14. Try not to be discouraged, the LAP-BAND? is a slow process and for some people (me included) it takes a while to get the the ever so elusive sweet spot. just remember that the changes that you are making (working out, and better food choices) are the life style commitments we have to make to get the weight off and to maintain weight loss. for me the first 3 months was very slow i only lost 12 pounds but i kept at it, because any loss is better than a gain. if you are not at your sweet spot just be diligent about your diet and your exercise and it will all balance out in the end. whatever you do dont give up just stick to it!!! i had revsion surgery in september and am still struggling to get back were i was before my band slipped. i have only lost 10 pounds since january, but it's 10 lbs closer to my goal. be strong and keep hitting the gym, maybe add another day or pick up the duration or intensity of your workouts. keep me posted on your progress.

  15. good luck on your surgery> keep me posted on your progress!

  16. hi b2010 i was just checking out your profile and i see that your surgery ias coming up soon. i just wanted to wish you the best of luck! getting banded was a decision that i have never regreted not once.

  17. girl you are crazy!!!! i just read your photo comments and i am so flattered! and amused, that was a good one! do you have a date scheuled for your procedure yet?

  18. hi steffib, welcome to lapband talk!

  19. Hey Cheryl, I was around after the meeting I just got swept up by the newbies, they had so many questions and I remember being in there shoes and having so many things that I wanted to aske someone who had already been through the procedure. Thanks for the kudos, I have been working hard and have more work to put in. I know the feeling about the closet I have a closet FULL of clothes that dont fi size 18 and 20 all from Lane Bryant... a small fortune invested that I just cant seem to purge. I try to make some of them still work because if got rid of everything that didnt fit id be left with barely enough clothes for a week =-). You know I'm down 91lbs but 38 of that was pre surgery so since the band i have only lost 53lbs but I still have about 30 or so i want to take off. I think anyprogress we have made is great because with out the band we would both probably be where we were before if not heavier! I dont regret it at all!

  20. JUST STOPPED BY YOUR PAGE, TOOK A LOOK AT YOUR PIX. SO INCREDIBLE!!! MY HATS OFF TO YOU! i'M TRUCKING ALONG, ABOUT 40 LOBS FROM GOAL. I HIT A SPEED BUMP AND MY BAND HAS SLIPPED SO IM GOING FOR REVISION SURGERY IN 2 WEEKS. NOT LETTING IT DERAIL ME THOUGH, I HAVE AN UNFILL BUT AM STILL HITTING THE GYM HARD. NOT WILLING TO REGAIN ANY OF THE WEIGHT THAT I HAVE LOST. IM HOPING TO BE AT GOAL BY END OF JANUARY ONCE EVERTHING IS SAID AND DONE. OH AND BTW I WAS LOOKING AT YOUR BEFORE PIX AS WELL. AND GILR I CAN TELL THAT EVEN AT 296 YOU WERE WORKIN IT. WEIGHT DOENT DEFINE US...ALTHOUGH WE ARE ALOT BETTER OFF WITHOUT THE EXCESS. CONGRATULATIONS ON REACHING GOAL, AND YOUR TUMMY SURGERY! WHAT AN AMAZING JOURNEY YOU HAVE HAD!!!!

  21. ok so i'm in this boring ass meeting all afternoon but thank god ive got my lap top. so here i am playing catch up on lapbandtalk. i swear i must have lol'd 1/2 a dozen times reading your blogs. you are hilarious and i appreciate you sharing all of theses wonderful stories with us. they make me laugh, keep me encouraged and make me so proud that fellow banders are succeeding!

  22. hey wendy just stopping byt to see how things are going with you. im doing well just trugging along tryin to eat right, get to the gyma nd all that great stuff. well i hope that you are doing well (igot the alert from the media about finding your toes lmbo) and ihope to chat with you sson.

  23. hey cheryl just stopping byt to say hello and see how you are doing. things with me are well, just trugging along trying to get to my goal by the end off the year of 140lbs off,i'm 8 lbs away from being dowm 100 so i can see the forrest through the trees more than 1/2 way down. hope to chat with you soon.

  24. Your journey through this process is an inspiration to us all. Its so good to see when people are successful, it gives us all encouragement to keep eating right, working out and doing all the things we need to do to get where you are.

  25. hey cheryl, how are you? I am really happy with the band so far. i am down a total of a 73lbs according to my home scale which notoriously weighs me 2 lbs less than the scale at dr. takahashis office. 38 of thoes lbs were off as of the day of surgery, but the way i look at it is that every lb counts. it took a while to find my so called sweet spot (about 4 fills) but once she found it things really started to progress. i am about 1/2 way to my goal and still have a ways to go, but so far so good! ive got another appt. ina bout 2 weeks and im not sure if she his going to give me any additional fill. i am always nervous not to get one, and i have been having some intermittent heart burn which really doent seem to be food related, but i'll address that with her at the appointment. i am plannig on going to the next support group meeting in may, so if you go maybe ill see you there. take care
