Sleeved a week ago. Feel no different?

Well that makes since. But will I be constipation? That's my worry. Cause I was super constipated when I first got banded. I knew nothing about juicing and green smoothies. Sometimes it takes experience just to know something.
  4. Oh they wouldn't do both together? I will have the removal and the sleeve at the same time.
  5. Girl what an awesome journey! Wow! Now that is truly a blessing. I only wonder what will happen if I were to get pregnant along this journey. Other than that I feel good that I can do this.
  6. Ok I am right behind you. I like you idea of having a stomach condition. I will possibly be doing more side dishes as well. But time will tell. I took a lot of fluid out my band some time ago, because I saw so tired of not being able to eat. It's one thing to be full, but my acts like an old car. You don't know if you will be able to go or will you just stall. Can't wait for your updates. Also how is the all liquids going? What are you drinking?
  7. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your story. We all had a process yo get to this point. I have two friends that had the surgery and they are doing well. Every has a different journey, but I think that we can all be successful if we believe. I don't know where your faith lies. But you are getting a lot of questions answered about this process, and I k ow you will make the best decision for yourself.
  8. Yaaaaassssssss! Someone that speaks my language. So you are on liquids for one month? When is your surgery date again? I'm sorry, you probably already mentioned it. Mines is the 19th. So I am preparing my mind for it. Also what are you telling people that ask you why aren't you eating? I have already started to yell people that I am going to adopt a new way of eating like people who have had the surgery. I will have shakes only for a while. I don't want to lie, I just want to pick who I want to share this journey with. I know it will be much easier once I put my green veggies inside of my smoothie, because people often know me to drink green smoothies.
  9. 21 down is wonderful. People we definitely see the big changes. So happy for you. I hope to continue to hear about your process. I start my Preop diet next weekend. I'm a little nervous. I just know that I want to do well. The thing that I am grateful for is that I am not walking into this process blind. Having had the band put be above the curve.
  10. Well I don't know when I will have the time to get on a laptop, but anyone that is open to discussing their experience I would greatly appreciate it. I know a lot of people have been on this site a long time. But anyone in the group that enjoys telling their story please share and continue sharing because you are blessing so many people with you experience.

I have started the raw product line. I will be using this regularly. I just need to look for the chewable vitimans. Do I appreciate the your feedback.

Thanks so much for your feedback. Where did you find your vitamins? I was thinking of going to the Vitiman Shoppe.
  13. I start next Friday, and i am kinda nervous. I need to do well. I want to ensure that I have everything I need to properly begin this process.
  14. I wasn't able to see the profile either. I know it may be a pain to keep repeating, but please just tell us your starting weight when you were sleeved and current? Thanks so much

Very soon I will go from Band to Sleeve!

I was banded Nov. 2008. When I first started having issues my surgeon was not supportive at all. I will tell them about my band locking up, me vomiting all the time. They didn't care. Just wanted me to keep coming in, so they could be paid. When I relocated my new doctor was ready to revise my band to the sleeve, but my insurance said that I was 10 pounds too light. There was no fight. We just accepted what was said, because there was nothing that really could be done, because I had no real history with this new doctor. So 2 years later, my new local insurance is approving me. But it was still a fight, but I was approved Thursday. I was told to pick my date. That scared the crap out of me, but I have been keeping it cool. I have kept off about 10 of the 60 pounds, and that's on a good day. So this is a long time coming, but I'm still super nervous.

    Emotional Journey

The communication died. Can you all please share your progress since the surgery?
  19. I am with you. I have to have my green smoothies. That has been the only way I could consistently get my fruits and veggies in. I hope I can incorporate then sooner than later. Cause me and constipation don't do well.

    I'm freaking out!

Thanks for your honestly regarding your anxiety. I was approved last Thursday, and was told to just let them know the date I want. I was calm until I talked to my husband. He is making me nervous. But I can't let him know I am nervous. I failed my band, and I want to do awesome with my sleeve. I have been trying to have this surgery for 3 years, and now I am finally approved. Crazy.
  21. So glad you are doing well. Thanks so much for sharing your journey. I will have my surgery on the 19th. I am trying not to worry, but I won't lie it's a bit scary. I just want to do well. I was banded Nov. 2008, and it seems that I could never get it together. I am believing that this is my time and season. I would love to continue to hear from you. Lord knows I need the encouragement.
  22. I start my Preop diet next week. I am not looking forward to it at all, but I know I need this. I will see this as my fast before my breakthrough. But I'm scared. I am trying not to think about last foods, cause that will defeat the whole purpose of having this surgery. I am so tired of the women I see in the mirror, and I know my season is here.

Thanks, and you are so right. I definitely don't want to do something before I am approved to do so. The vitimans you mentioned how long did you wait before you were able to take them?

Sleeve vs. Band problems when eating.

This is a good explanation. Cause I have been banded since November 08, and I don't really know how it's like to be full naturally. I look forward to the healthy balance. Question: can you tell that you no longer have your hunger hormone? I think I am gonna be happy to get rid of that along with this damn band.
