    DEC 17th!! Anyone???

You are very welcome! What time is your surgery? Mine is 9am central time, I guess he has a gallbladder to take out before mine. Sounds like the surgery is easy. I went to a support group back in August and a guy was in there that had the surgery the day before and got to go home the same day. He said it was "no big deal". I would probably get to go home the same day but they are telling me that I live too far away to let do that. I live an hour from the hospital. I will be thinking of you that day. My psychologist told me they could give me "something" if I get to anxious about surgery. I think she might have meant a xanax??? I had lasik surgery in 2005. I figure if I could have someone cut on my eyes then I could sure handle something to make my thinner! I have done and tried it all. This is my last resort to a thinner better me! Good luck to youand my God Bless us all! OH wait! He already has!

    Holiday Hotties begin!!!

How is everyone doing that have December dates? My date is Dec 17th, I will be having my gallbladder out also. I am nervous as to be expected. I also had to have a stress test on friday--that was gruelling. And I have to have an echocardiogram tomorrow morning. I have to get "cardiac clearance" before they can operate, since my EKG came back "abnormal". I had to go visit a friend in the hospital where I amhaving surgery and she was right where my surgery will be in the pre-op room! So I got to see how it will all go down! It was kinda scary but I left thinking "hey, I can do this!" I was at 250 when I first when to the Bariatric Center, now I am at 239(or maybe less now) So I am doing everything I am supposed to. Just have to get comfortable instead of all of these nerves. Blessing and much luck to all of the Holiday Hotties out there! Next year we WILL be Holiday Hotties fighting off those men(or women) with a stick!

    DEC 17th!! Anyone???

My date is Dec 17th also, and yes, I am nervous. I went to visit a friend in the hospital on friday only to find out this was the wing that I was going to have my lapband and gallbladder procedure done. I got to see how it will all go down! I even saw my surgeon racing thru the hallways back and forth--he seemed very busy. It's gonna be all right. I think the only pain we will feel is needles and then the afterwards will feel like I have been doing too many sit ups so my surg says. I can handle that with the drugs. I more worried about people seeing me naked and being on my period during surgery! crazy I know! Just think how happy we will be a year from now when we are a lot thinner! We cannot fail! dont even use that word!
  4. How do they work around that? is it a problem? do they schedule around it?
  5. should I care? I can't imagine someone can tell me how to run my body. I don't want to sign that paper!

  7. lets keep connecting dec bandsters!
  8. I got my date today, Dec 17th! wow! my hospital didn't give me much of a chance to get mentally prepared, which can be a good thing! I have been waiting for them to get their garbage together for months! I need to purchase some protein shakes, the hospital gave me some samples of unjury and nectar(?) and the only one I liked was a chocolate nectar. I tried the unjury plain in diet pop, it didnt work, tasted awful. Any suggestions? Lets do this together! think healthy skinny thoughts. Those are what motivate me...go out and buy women's fitness magazines (or mens fitness), shape magazines ....hang out where "skinny" healthy people hang out, watch shows with physically fit people in them, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and its calling our names! good luck to everyone, please keep us posted!

    Mourning food already

I know what some of you mean about switching addictions. My addictions are food, men and shopping! I filed bankrupcy for the 2nd time in July, now I'm having the lp done soon, and I guess I will have to turn to men! But in a more "im 40 now, so don't sleep with eveyrone under the sun" kind of way! There was a gal in the support group that I attended and she has lost around 80 lbs in 8 months with lapband and she said she still eats ANYTHING she wants just a lot less of it. She is very happy with the surgery and her new outlook on herself. Her words stick with me. Take those negative things you hear and throw them away like a used Kleenex. Keep those good comments and suggestions you hear like diamond ring someone gave you! And by all means, connect with this forum! No need to be lonely when we are all in the same boat headed down that same river! We can and we will have a good life!:cursing:

NO way! Don't sabotage yourself before you even have surgery! You deserve to have everything in this life that you want! Go rent the move the secret....you can get it at block buster, read some books and watch videos of Louise Hay and Ester and Jerry Hicks! You will succeed! :cursing:
  12. My doctores and nurses say they want me to be free from caffiene before surgery. Why is this? I can't give up my caffeine totally, I will for surgery. But I gotta have my diet mt. dew or dt. pepsi!
  13. Hey, Im sorry to bring it up, but im a big girl, 243 and havent had lp yet, just got my approval letter from doctore...but i have to wonder and I am very curious:blushing:, if all of this weight comes off with my vagina/labia get smaller? how do those models have smaller ones? is it because they are thin? I know-terrible subject but I am sure we all want to look good naked and thats one thing that I am so self concious of.

    My problem

I had this problem, when its been a long time in between sex. A friend of mine called it the "lovers ??? something" "lovers disease" or some crap like that. I can't remember the actual name she used. But I think with more frequency it might get better. Are you relaxing? is your partner waiting until you're ready?

can u lose weight in your vagina?

these posts have cracked me up! thanks for responding and enLIGHTing me! yes, I mean the mons. I got into a conversation today with some other gals who are overweight. Then we got on the subject of shaving. I have WAY too many rolls, big boobs and other crap to pull up to get to "stuff" to shave it! and my legs, well its touch and go there...miss a lot of spots. I'm hoping when skinny I will be well shaven and no "hair tracks" where I missed! pootie and all!
  16. how did your surgery go? we are all wanting to know!

  17. Weightloss has always been 90% mental for me, as I am sure you all too! So what do you do when those food demons show up? I think I should get out my "skinny" jeans and pictures of me when I was thinner and pics of me when I was at my biggest to motivate me. I feel sometimes like the fat girl is going to have to be mourned at some point??? My birthday is in July, I am trying to see where I will be when that comes along. I am also watching "the secret" dvd and following the works of Abraham Hicks(www.abraham-hicks.com) Thank you in advance for your advice. I sometimes feel like I am way over analyziing this whole shabang!

    Mourning food already

In my lapband support group at the hospital, I was one of the youngest out of about 50-60 people, and I'm 40! you're NEVER too young to LIVE! and enjoy life!!! An 80 year old woman would be very offended to hear someone in their 40s saying "am I too old for this? or that?" Thats what I tell myself if I start down that track. Good luck to you all!
  19. I had my initial meeting with my surgeon and he told me I would only lose 40-50lbs with lapband, he was trying to encourage me to have gastric bypass. He has only done 30 some lb surgeries and the other surgeons at this hospital have also only done 30 some. This hospital just started doing surgeries last Dec. I know the lb is just a tool, I get it, I understand that. But could someone give me hope that I will lose more? I am at 243 now, was at 250 at my 1st visit the bariatric center. Thanks for all of your help!
  20. That is awesome Jodi! 5 months! thats almost the time the Biggest Losers do it on tv I think! That give me hope! I was at 248 and now am at 243 trying to follow the diet they gave me to get this whole thing started!!
  21. also, if this surgeon doesn't follow thru with fills like I would like, I will go to another doctor here in Iowa.
  22. Thank you all for your responses. And kudos to you all for getting rid of your excess weight! I would like to find some before and after pics of people who have lost a lot of weight. I have looked on this forum and can't really find many, a lot of before or afters but not both. Those b and a pics are so motivating to me. I think if I make my mind up I can get rid of all of this excess weight. This link helped out too. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f17/can-only-hope-lose-65-excess-weight-22256/
  23. I have been having digestive and gall bladder "spells" can they take my gallbladder out with the lb procedure?
  24. I plan on it, I just wondered if anyone on this forum had any experiences with that.
