Too tight?
.5 can make you too tight. I had .3 and was too tight! Go back to your doc right away and get a small unfill. Don't wait too long or you will risk damaging you and your band.

FREAKIN BAND!!! Three unfills and still problems!
Hi bkgrandma, flouro is when they have you drink barium and take an xray to see what's goinh on with your band, etc. I made an appointment with my doc 'cuz I think maybe I have a bad cold...totally unrelated to the band but I have a bad sore throat that may just be a cold or strp throat.

FREAKIN BAND!!! Three unfills and still problems!
Yes, gotta love the aloe Kathy. I honestly think that may be why my band looked good and there was no swelling...although even though I tried to get the aloe down it was coming back up but maybe some of it stayed down anyway. I will drink some more...I did get the berry flavor and I still have some of the stomach formula that is sort of a gel. It doesn't taste as good as the berry but it sorta feels good going down because it's like a gel. I was able to get 16 oz of crystal light down and I feel ok now so maybe my esophogus is just swollen from all the puking that was going on for the last week.

FREAKIN BAND!!! Three unfills and still problems!
I went back to MX yesterday to get another unfill!! It got so bad that every time I drank anything it came right back up. My husband and I were out on Sunday and we kept on having to pull over so I could "water" some bushes. Forget about eating. I haven't eaten anything in over a week. So, here's the crazy part...if that wasn't crazy enough...I went to Dr. Ortiz yesterday and they saw NOTHING wrong under fluoro...no swelling, no major restriction, band in the correct placement, etc. They went ahead and did a .3 unfill anyway based on my symptoms but they must've thought I was a nut 'cuz it looks like everything is fine. Today I am having trouble with liquids AGAIN. It's staying down but I have to drink really slowly and I have the pain in my chest. UGGGGG freakin band!!:faint: The only good news is I am only about 20 lbs from goal. This is not how I wanted to lose though...way to much pain and suffering.:guess

Women's petite sizes?
www.petitesophisticate.com This is my new favorite store but I think the largest size they carry is 14. The clothes are generously sized though and made to fit a woman not a no hips teen like body. For instance, I went shopping this weekend and everything was waaayyyy too low and I could barely get anything over my butt even in as large as a size 14. However, I am a perfect size 8 at Petite Sophisticate. If you have one near you it's worth checking out.

New diet i found
I started this soup diet today. I have been at a standstill with the weight for a few days and I thought what better time than fall/winter to give this a try?:hungry: It tasted pretty good and it is filling, so far. I have only been able to eat 2 small bowls today since I am still kinda heavily restricted. Anyone else still doing this diet?:cry

My pants got longer, too. It must be the weight loss in thighs and butt. If you think about it that makes sense. OK, so NSV for me...DH took me shopping for new clothes for my B-day. I tried a 12 first...way too big, then 10...still too big, finally size 8 fit!! I am in single digits! Remember, I am only 5 ft., so I am still not all the way there but 1/2 way feels pretty good.

Famous Bandsters?
Hi Telly, hope your recovery has been going smooth... I just wanted to add that I hate when people say it's the easy way out...this has been no way easy for most of us.

June 2006 Band Crew
The past few days I have been so tight I could barely get down 12 oz of water...couldn't eat at all! Yesterday, everytime I drank water my chest hurt so bad it felt like a knife was stuck in it! I was so worried I slipped my band. I went to Dr. Ortiz at 9am this morning and everything checked out fine.:clap2: However, they did remove .2 cc's. Since then, I have been able to drink water and I had a little soup earlier. It seems my band didn't get any looser even after my 20 lb drop since my last fill. Maybe some people just get tighter.:phanvan I noticed alot of junebies are also having issues with tightness lately. My fill doc told me today that when winter comes on you can get tighter....interesting.

School Bully's
I agree with mousecrazy! Request a meeting and take notes at the meeting. Sugest police invovement if it happens again. You are really doing Bully a favor by letting him and his parents know that his behavior won't be tolerated.

Official Halloween Exchange Thank You Thread
Jenna, Even with the chocolate the calorie count isn't bad...only 130 per 1 oz. serving...and an ounce of these tiny babies is actually alot! Also has 3g of Protein per serving. I am eating only about 300-500 cal a day with only being able to eat at night lately. However, tonight I was wide open and downed 1 scambled egg and 1 slice of bacon plus about an ounce of those yummy pumpkin seeds you sent me.:biggrin1: Oh, just realized those pumpkin seeds have 9g of protein per serving...woo hoo!!

What color/race do you see?
My Mom was a little pissed when I married my 100% Chinese DH. She says she's not racist but she thinks everyone should only marry/date their own kind....uhhh, ok, sorry but that's racist in my book. Funny story...we were at Trader Joes one day and a lady walked up to my husband and said, "Are you asian?":paranoid He was stunned since he'd never been asked that before...he said, "uh yeah"... :straight She said, Oh cuz they are out of jasmine rice here and I was wondering if you know where I could find it. My husband doesn't even like Jasmine rice so he told her he had no idea. The lady might have been confused because I am white so wasn't sure if he was asian. Later he told me he must have been married to me so long he is starting to look white. I swear, I look more asian every day.

Boob job after lapband?
Sorry, but I disagree, my lap-band procedure was way more painful than my boob job. I had implants almost 14 years ago so maybe I just don't remember but I was out at a restaurant the next night and flew home 2 nights after from Utah to CA. I would say, from what I remember, it's about the same or easier.

June 2006 Band Crew
socalgal3, That is exactly what I am going through and I don't think it's normal at all. I even have trouble with liquids sometimes feeling stuck in my chest. Most days I maybe take in 300 calories-max. I would be winning this challenge if I could drink my water but I am lucky if I can finish one of those 24 oz sport bottles in a day.:faint: I am, however, exercising 5-6 days a week and I have more energy than I had before being banded.:clap2: I no longer have back and neck pain. I am getting my liquid vitamins in and my hair and nails are as healthy as they have ever been.
