  1. I have to agree...the food doesn't taste as good to me anymore and I think the small bites has something to do with it.
  2. Hey Melissa...be happy you didn't gain...how many vacations can you say that about?:clap2: Regina you look great...it's a whole new you! Barbara, I am jelous...I need to go get me a pedicure tomorrow morning..Happy B-day! Randi, I am going through the same thing...it's a BIG challenge to keep anything down. Stephanie, you lucky girl...I am jelous of your rapid weight loss.
  3. Thanks, actually my hubby is the pro photog. I just borrow the fancy dancy equipment sometimes. We think the black one is a whippet mix...maybe with dobie or lab...could be german shepherd. They are both pound puppies.
  4. awwww...reminds me of my Zaney who loves the cats but they don't love him!
  5. I can't remember if I pm'd you already on this?? If not, please count me in...I think you have my address already.
  6. I have a Jack mix...I think he's mixed with beagle. He is totally wacko but too cute so he gets away with alot!! Photos here... http://www.paulwangphoto.com/laura_web/laura.html
  7. I am also hoping to work at Curves.:clap2: I turned in my application last week. I just want to pick up a couple of days a week to earn some X-mas cash. They told me they are just looking for someone a couple of days so hopefully it will work out for me.
  8. Hi Telly, I am basically doing the same thing right now.:phanvan I already went back for a slight unfill and I can at least get liquids down now. Still having alot of trouble with food ...even cottage cheese is hard to get down. I can handle a couple of bites of soft food...that's it. I think it will get better in a couple of weeks as long as I keep losing.:rolleyes
  9. I collect Fairies and Cats...
  10. I am very lucky...my curves is open 6am-7:30 pm. Alot of them close for a few hours in the middle of the day.
  11. I burp alot too, even when i drink my morning coffee...
  12. For those of you that are having trouble with the exercise part, I highly reccomend Curves!! It is really something everyone can do because you go at your own pace. It's also a very motivating enviroment. I started two weeks ago and I HATE exercise BUT I actually wanted to go yesterday and was bummed that they are closed on Sunday. They let you check it out for free...so go on, give it a try.
  13. Thanks for the offer Colleen. I just may take you up on it. I start the Taz pill today...we'll see how I tolerate it...
  14. I looked at the Implanon website and it looks great but I don't think it's available in the US yet...maybe I can find a clinical trial to be part of. Tried the ring...gave me baaaddd yeast infection.
  15. Hi everyone, I haven't noticed any hair loss but I did lose a total of 10 lbs:clap2: last week with my band being so tight:eek: . Pinkylee, my de-stresser is exercise:Banane05: ...I've been working out at Curves. Honestly, I am "retired" and the biggest part of my day is picking up and dropping off my son at school so not much stress here. The only thing stressing me out right now is my band. It sucks when it's so tight you can barely drink water. Luckily, I can now but I still have to go slow.:ranger: It's weird but it actually seemed easier to eat my yogurt today than it is to drink my water.
  16. I have 3.2. For those over 3...do you feel very restricted and have to go extremely slow with solids? I am very restricted even with yogurt.
  17. You can see how fills work in a video here http://www.lapbandforlife.com/default.htm and yes it is temporary and you will likely need more fills as you loose weight.
  18. Hi Telly, Did you get your last fill Thurs? Well, all I can say is I know what you mean I really wanted to work with it too.:rolleyes I thought if I could get down a few pounds the restriction would loosen up a bit but I got tighter and tighter every day. I got to the point that I was coughing up liquid and I knew I better get my ass down for an unfill. I'm only a couple of hours from the border but it's still a hastle. Anyway, my doc said a few more days and I may have slipped my band or dilated my pouch. Make sure you can at least get liquids down.
  19. mysherrijo, How many candy bars would you have eaten before surgery? Probably more than 4 (after all if they are Halloween bars they are small right:confused: ).Don't be so hard on yourself! You've lost 36 lbs in 2 months??:clap2: That's beyond awesome!! Would you have done that on your own? I say keep up the good work and enjoy a couple of candy bars now and then. Don't completely deprive yourself. As for fills, BE CAREFUL, I thought I was too loose so I added .5 and have been miserable for a week.:faint: Went back today and got .2 removed. My doc said I was lucky I didn't slip my band or dilate my pouch.
  20. Thanks gals,:nervous Yep, it's my TOM but I must've been really tight 'cuz I was pb'ing water!:faint: Anyway, liquids are going down ok now as long as I don't drink too fast. Is it normal to have to slow down on drinking?:rolleyes At least it doesn't hurt anymore when I drink though. I only had .2 taken out...since I was loose:hungry: at 2.9 and then tight as heck:eek: at 3.4... they figured I should be good somewhere in the middle. I am a self pay so I hope to get this right soon.
  21. Pinky, you look great! Ok, well I posted this update on it's own post but I think some of you look here more often so here's the repeat... So, last night I woke up in the middle of the night...coughing and sputering up water I had right before bed. I was only able to get about 20oz of liquid down yesterday due to it going down so slowly and giving me the chest pain from hell!! Called my doc and he said come in today! I was so worried I slipped my band but when he checked under floro he said it all looked fine and the pouch didn't look dilated.:phanvan He then had me swallow the barium and all was well. However, based on my symptoms he unfilled me .2 anyway...so now I have 3.2 in my 4 cc band. I was able to drink a whole bottle of water right afterward. Now, only 3.5 hours later I am able to drink but again need to go slow and hear it gurgling down and feel the chest pressure again. I am seriously starting to wonder about this band or maybe I am just weird or something.:tired It's expensive to keep going back and I feel like I will never have the right restriction. I even got to thinking that once it is right I will lose weight... then I will need a fill and round and round we go with this trial and error!!:faint: :help: Fellow Bandsters...I am in need of some encouragement! <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

  23. Update...So I went for my appointment and he couldn't get it in me. Apparently, I have a small cervix and it wouldn't fit.:cry I was also told I have a small stomach by the fill doc...I guess I am a small woman traped in a large woman's body!! I still have cramps though from the failed attempts.:think So, he gave me something called Yaz. I guess it's new and a lower hormone dose than Yasmine.:rolleyes I don't think I'll be going back to the doc though. When I told him I gain water weight on the pill...he said, "that's nonsense...I hate when women try to blame everything for their weight but themselves.":omg: This said while I am still cramping from the jerk poking around and not being able to insert the IUD!!:angry
  24. Wow, Ok then I am keeping my appointment tomorrow morning then. I will let you all know how it goes. I also talked to my lapband doc today and found I probably need a small unfill due to not being able to even drink much water lately since my last fill:eek: so tomorrow should be an interesting day.
