I got Unfilled again....I kept getting tighter...not looser

The past few days I have been so tight I could barely get down 12 oz of water...couldn't eat at all! Yesterday, everytime I drank water my chest hurt so bad it felt like a knife was stuck in it!:) I was so worried I slipped my band. I went to Dr. Ortiz at 9am this morning and everything checked out fine.:clap2: However, they did remove .2 cc's. Since then, I have been able to drink water and I had a little soup earlier.:) It seems my band didn't get any looser even after my 20 lb drop since my last fill.:) Maybe some people just get tighter.:phanvan

Aw, sorry that happened to you.

(( hugs ))

Think of it this way - this procedure allows you to go at your own pace. If you had gotten Gastric Bypass and your pouch was too small or too tight - well, you'd basically be stuck until you could slowly increase the size or have to have another surgery.

But a slight unfill seems to already have you feeling better, and doing better.

So, it's good to see you back on the road with your band...

Glad to hear that a slight unfill has you feeling better - and definitely glad it wasn't a slip! .. those were the symptoms I had with my slip.

I've been having the same problems! I went to Mexico twice last week and 4 times in the last month. I got a fill, and was fine, ate in Mexico, no problem. I got home and two days later, was so full I couldn't even hardly drink water. So, I went and got a little unfilled and things were fine, but I could eat as much and whatever I wanted. So, I went back and got more of a fill, and once again, ate and was drinking and everything was fine in Mexico. Two days later, I couldn't eat, drink or anything. The pain involved with being totally restricted is so awful! It's one of those type of experiences that nobody will understand the severity of the pain unless they actually experience it. So, yesterday I drove back down to Mexico and got a little unfilled. I was able to drink and eat brothy soups yesterday and today. So, I am hoping that things are good now. The good thing is I lost 5 more lbs, but a very bad way to lose those 5 lbs. Good luck and hope that you are doing better.
