The lady who processes the authorizations called me yesterday and asked me to fax her my psych eval. She said once she gets that she will send it in. so I went to Kinkos and faxed it to her yesterday. She said it can take up to two weeks for authorization. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

so i got a food processor from my mom today and i pureed some campbells bean with bacon soup. it was good and i felt like i was actually eating something. i am still ok three hours later but of course my head tells me to go eat something. how are you doing?

well thats cool. i am staying the night regardless. i asked if since my surgery is so damn early if i get restless can i leave and they said absolutely. but my dear mother is insisting that i stay so... i guess i will - why not? i am getting excited yes. so are you taking anything for the gas pains? i notice in your pics that your man and his mom are your support group. what about your fam?

I go for my post op on april 1st.

Hey we are all in the same boat here... we are all looking this way and trying to change. i am going to put up some body shots right before... most of mine are all upper shots hahahaha... my mother is driving me nuts! she is so unsupportive and negative. everything i mention to her she has a negative response. i am just not even going to mention it anymore.

4 pounds. i wonder why? maybe because on the liquids your body was in starvation mode and when you started eating again it horded it or something. that really sucks. you still drinking a ton of water? exercising at all? how did the cake go down? the day after i return to work is my birthday and my coworker called and asked what kind of cake i would want. (they dont know i had this surgery). so will i be able to eat it?

Hi, I ate a lot today and I have not weighed myself since last sunday. I will weigh myself in the morning. I doubt that I have lost anything since everyone says once you stop the liquid diet then you stop losing weight. I am eating pretty much whatever I want right now. I need to get a fill. I dont go in until the first though. Ill let you know how I do in the morning. I have a little journal that I have been tracking my calories in. Not today of course though. ha... good night.

OMG i have to take the sleep test on tuesday night! NO WAY! That sucks... uuuuuuugh. For me the pre op was a stress test. I had to put a mask on a ride a bicycle with a bunch of wires hooked up to me. It was pretty tiring. Then I had to talk to the sleep doctor and see the nutritionist and she told me i need to start chewing longer and stretch my meals to twenty mins each and cut out the caffeine. I already went and did an abdominal ultrasound, upper gi swallow, and psych eval...

good luck on your surgery and your pre op liquid diet. i am just finishing my post op one and i cannot wait til i am done. this board has good suggestions for the liquid diet as you will need suggestions after a few days. keep strong you can do it. you look fabulous in your pics and you will look even more fabulous in a few months!!! congrats on your journey!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Yes I am getting excited and nervous and dreading it a bit. I am not on any pre op diet but people are telling me to start the liquids anyways because my body will be in shock after from not eating. I dont want to!!!! LOL... how is it going for you so far?

Hey Jason how are you feeling today? How's the recovery process? I cleaned my apartment a bunch tonight... went through clothes (my daughters and mine) to donate and get rid of. Got rid of an old broken dresser too... I hurt my shoulder in the process because I was carrying the dresser down my stairs and the TV... I took some of the liquid Tylenol that I bought tonight but it doesnt seem to be helping much BOOOOO! Ok well good night.

So far I do not have a pre-op diet. I am meeting with the surgeon on Thursday so maybe he will tell me different. I do not see why I would need one ... did they tell you why you are doing one? What do you have to do? I know that my surgery is on a wednesday so that monday I have to start a liquid diet. Not clear liquids but any type of liquid.

I kind of want to stay the night. My case manager said that I will feel better and more rested the next day because I will have nurses waiting on me and hand and foot and I won't have distractions... so why not?

So what is Jay short for? Armani Exchange definetely has some nice clothes. Yeah I am ready to shop anywhere that does not say Womens Plus on it! They are such ugly clothes. Thank god there is this one store Torrid that has been my lifesavor. Cute, trendy clothes that I can fit in. They are owned by Hot Topic and its for plus sized girls like me! But I am ready to shop at the fun stores like I used too.

23 days on pre op sounds sooo horrible. I commend you for sticking it out. Do not be too hard on yourself for having chinese food. If we knew how to normally we would not be getting the lap band. And besides...one real meal in 23 days? Give yourself a break and be nice to Jay!

Did I tell you that my insurance wants me to stay overnight? I think thats a good idea. I will be able to relax and have no distractions... i.e. my 3 year old daughter. So what do you do for fun? You in school? You work? Whats up with you? Girlfriend/Boyfriend?

I am having it done in Oxnard at St. Johns. My surgeon is the director of Bariatric there. I was told at my initial consultation last month that once I am approved it is like two weeks from there. I want to wait until the end of February though because I am going to Bakersfield with some girl friends next month and they dont know about it so I dont want them wondering why I am only drinking liquids lol...

WoW. i am so jealous!!! i wish i was going in tomorrow! Yeah i think overnight is the way to go. so while i am waking up you will be in surgery. ill be thinking about you. I suspected it was short for Jason but i was not sure. Honestly i was not sure if you were a guy or a girl so i kept asking hinting questions lol. Well let me know how it goes and you better message me asap when you get back!!!!

I know two more weeks woooo hoooo! i have my last pre op tomorrow where i will actually meet the surgeon. i kind of want to go on a pre op because i keep hearing how everyone is losing so much weight. but then again i want to eat good food for as long as possible!!! i need to get my bloodwork done also. wow....... 5 more days! are you going crazy!?

Hi, where are you in Cali? I read your post about not telling everyone. I feel the same way. I told my boyfriend, mom and dad, and boss. Thats it! Good luck with your surgery. I should be going mid February. I cant wait.

No I do not have a date yet. I will find out hopefully this week. But in February for sure. I have pre op on wednesday and then they said authorization will take about a week and then it will be about two weeks after that. what was your process?
