The lady who processes the authorizations called me yesterday and asked me to fax her my psych eval. She said once she gets that she will send it in. so I went to Kinkos and faxed it to her yesterday. She said it can take up to two weeks for authorization. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Ya that would totally be annoying. That is why I want my date to be the end of Feb because I am going on a trip with my girlfriends that I go on every February and I am not telling them about the LapBand so theyll be wondering why I am on a liquid diet

So the sleep test was not bad at all for me. I was in a beautiful and comfortable bedroom and I knew the nurse from my other pre-op visits. It was really easy. I did not need the apnea mask so the nurse said that she is pretty sure that I don’t have it. my follow up is on the 10th and it will be via phone.

I am having it done in Oxnard at St. Johns. My surgeon is the director of Bariatric there. I was told at my initial consultation last month that once I am approved it is like two weeks from there. I want to wait until the end of February though because I am going to Bakersfield with some girl friends next month and they dont know about it so I dont want them wondering why I am only drinking liquids lol...

did you grow up out here? are you in college? do you work? do all your friends know or are you keeping it quiet?

OH cool I worked for Wells Fargo when I was in high school. That was a nice job. I have only told my immediate family, two very close friends, and my boyfriend. I do not really want to hear anything negative about and someone always has something to say lol. Yeah my boyfriend says there is more of me to love right now but he will be there for me. He just wants me to be happy but if I were to not lose weight he would be ok with it. How long have you been with your man?

I go to school at Moorpark and Ventura Community College. I just got my AA last semester. I am transferring to CSUN this fall. I work full-time for a work comp/pharmaceutical company. I am a single mommy and my daughter is three. It is taking me a while to get through school but I keep pluggin away. I only go at night.

Ok so I weighed myself this morning and I am now a pound lighter then when I started. I am going to make Sundays my weigh in day. What day are you weighing yourself? This book that I have that I am journaling in, is set up for me to weigh on sundays. Damn I feel weird with no caffeine. 5 days of no caffeine. I have not gone this long in ten years.

Sorry to hear about your cold. Yeah i can imagine how sore that must make you feel. Even just laughing i wince. March 17th is my birthday! i will be 27 that day. St. Patty's Day. 10 more days of liquid diet. Sucks. Are you on mushies yet?

So far I do not have a pre-op diet. I am meeting with the surgeon on Thursday so maybe he will tell me different. I do not see why I would need one ... did they tell you why you are doing one? What do you have to do? I know that my surgery is on a wednesday so that monday I have to start a liquid diet. Not clear liquids but any type of liquid.

I kind of want to stay the night. My case manager said that I will feel better and more rested the next day because I will have nurses waiting on me and hand and foot and I won't have distractions... so why not?

So what is Jay short for? Armani Exchange definetely has some nice clothes. Yeah I am ready to shop anywhere that does not say Womens Plus on it! They are such ugly clothes. Thank god there is this one store Torrid that has been my lifesavor. Cute, trendy clothes that I can fit in. They are owned by Hot Topic and its for plus sized girls like me! But I am ready to shop at the fun stores like I used too.

23 days on pre op sounds sooo horrible. I commend you for sticking it out. Do not be too hard on yourself for having chinese food. If we knew how to normally we would not be getting the lap band. And besides...one real meal in 23 days? Give yourself a break and be nice to Jay!

Did I tell you that my insurance wants me to stay overnight? I think thats a good idea. I will be able to relax and have no distractions... i.e. my 3 year old daughter. So what do you do for fun? You in school? You work? Whats up with you? Girlfriend/Boyfriend?

yes he is very supportive. he likes me the way i am now. he says there is more of me to love. but he is here for me through out the process and he wants to make sure that i know that if it doesnt work out for some reason and i dont lose weight that he is ok with that.

honestly the reason that i dont want vicoden is because i am an addict. yikes i said it. i hope you dont hate me now lol.

4 pounds. i wonder why? maybe because on the liquids your body was in starvation mode and when you started eating again it horded it or something. that really sucks. you still drinking a ton of water? exercising at all? how did the cake go down? the day after i return to work is my birthday and my coworker called and asked what kind of cake i would want. (they dont know i had this surgery). so will i be able to eat it?

8 MORE DAYS for you!!!! My insurance said that mine will be inpatient and that I am to spend the night...

alright so you should be out of surgery now... good luck going to the bathroom with the nurses hahahha!!! maybe you wont have too. ok i will talk to you soon. i am dying to hear how it went. i am leaving for work in a little bit and then leaving work at 1130 to go to my pre op. ttyl!

and then i felt myself go and i said ok here i go! and the next thing i knew i was in post op! i stayed there for a few and my heart kept palpitating and slowing way down so when they steadied me i went to my own room and relaxed. i spent the night and came home the next evening.

Congrats on getting banded. I am waiting for authorization right now! Yikes!

Congrats on losing 4 pounds! Man I have SO much to do this week, I am stressing out. I made out a list of all the homework, quizzes, exams, and papers that I have. Then I made a list of all the extracurricular things that I have to do. I am crossing them off one by one lol... got up early this morning to do more homework.

COOL i will check it out tonight when i get home. i am going to see the Phantom of the Opera with my man!!!!

damn i wonder why my doctor has me on liquids for so damn long. i wonder what would happen if i tried a mushy. were you fine when you switched to mushies?

dang liquid percocet! thats what they gave me when i had a csection. that stuff is strong. i asked for liquid darvocet because i dont want the vicoden. maybe i will be like you and not need anything. although i am kind of a wuss. that guy is mike my boyfriend.

Did you add fruit right after the surgery also? I ate mostly protein yesterday. I am going to try to do that until the surgery. My boyfriend is going to do a liquid diet with me the two days before the surgery. Pretty cool.

good luck on your surgery and your pre op liquid diet. i am just finishing my post op one and i cannot wait til i am done. this board has good suggestions for the liquid diet as you will need suggestions after a few days. keep strong you can do it. you look fabulous in your pics and you will look even more fabulous in a few months!!! congrats on your journey!!!!! <3 <3 <3
