The reason for the liquids is so your tummy can heal the right way. try and hold off until your two weeks are up. You can have cream soups and sugar free popcicles and jello.Work with your band and you will do great. I am a little over five months out and only like 18 pounds reaching my goal. You only have a little more than I did to lose.

That is the best and most truthful thing I have ever seen about the elderly. They all have a very special place in my heart anyway. I lost my dad when I was young but kept my mom until she was 85. Brought her to live with me the last two years with alsheimers and colon cancer. Even tho it was a 24/7 job there is nothing I would take for being able to take care of her and those are exactly the thoughts I had. All the things she had done for me. So if any of you have elderly parents or parent please take this to heart.

You know who is proud of you and for you on this end. Ali you are doing fantastic. I know our cruise time is nine months out but I am just so excited. Love you:clap2:

Sam, I will tell you not to be nervous but I think we all probably were,but there really is no reason to be. Everything will be fine. I have childern older than you and never had to have any pain meds and was out walking on my second day out. This band is wonderful if you will work with it. I am five months out tomorrow and only 20 pounds from goal.:confused:

You can expect wonderful things to happen if you will work with your band and you sound like you are well ready.I did'nt have as much to lose as you but it is all the same. I am 20 pounds from goal in five months time.Time has really went fast and it has been easy. I have'nt even tried to eat the things that made me fat to start with.I think we all know what we were doing wrong and the band is not a miracle worker but it sure does help.Let me know if you need any questions answered. Fran. Welcome to lapband. You will love your band. Sounds like you are having gas pains. Walk all you can even if just around the house. I never had any pain meds but never went to bed either except at bed time. Walked inside and outside and it really helped my healing. Used gas x strips and extra strength malox. On my second fill and 20 pounds from goal. Good luck to you.

Well I guess I must have been lucky and went to his seminar and pre-surgery and first fill on good days. The office girls and Dr. Spiegel have always been super nice to me. I went on the first of April and had my surgery on the 25th. Have seen the doctor twice since surgery and has always been super nice. Have called his staff several times with questions and felt I have always gotten good answers. The surgi-center is wonderful also. I pay my deduct only for my fills and I have never had to wait a long time for an appointment.

I had to have surgery just above my right eyebrow last year. When you find or talk to your doctor just tell them you want it done with the Mos type of surgery. My husband had it on the side of his face and it went pretty deep but his doctor used this treatment on him and got it all and you can hardly tell where he had to cut his face so naturally when mine came up I went right to the same wonderful doctor. Just get it taken care of soon.:couch2:

Carol I just sent you an e-mail then went and read your orginal post. Tell your hubby to get with it. There are all kind of things that happen to us for being over weight,just ask me. I am 62 and had tried every diet known to man and to no avail. I researched the band for four months and had it done and am only twenty pounds from goal. I am off almost all the meds I was on and was very close to being diabetic. This band is the most wonderful tool that has ever been invented for us little fatties.:couch2:

I went today for an unfill. Got my second fill on 7-19 and had great restriction.Seemed the more I lost the tighter it got until it was so uncomfortable until I finally called for an appointment. It had finally gotten to where I could'nt eat at all. Lost twenty pounds but god. They thought I might be swollen from cutting my one small pill in half rather than crushing, which the doctor had told me it was okay when I was banded. They say sometimes if the pill does'nt go through it will just sit there and irratate the stoma.But I have been doing it the same way since April and never had a problem. I will start crushing the pill but I came home this afternoon and ate without a problem. First time in over a week. Who knows.She took out .5cc and left me with 1.3. I have 20 more to go so will see how this works and if not will have a little more put in.

I am calling tomorrow for an unfill appointment. This is my second fill and I am so glad I have lost fifteen more pounds but it has been six weeks now and just seems to get tighter.This has been the third day that I can only get a few bites down. Can still drink but hardly no solids and I know this isn't healthy.Will let yall know if doctor thinks this is possible.At least I only have 24 more to go.

Garage sales are the best when it comes to buying clothes when you are dropping in sizes.Why shop the retailers when you know you are gonna drop again. I picked up three pair of almost new brand name jeans the other day for $2 a pair,still had the cleaners tag attached. I have found items you woul'nt believe. We go almost every Sat. morn. They are very interesting and fun.

I got my gift today and I loved it and she is almost a neighbor. Thank you so much Jeangab. How did you know I was already decorating for fall,such as we have fall here,but I love decorating for it. I got a darling fall item and a box of assorted greeting cards which I needed so bad. Something I am always gonna buy but never do.Thank you again and we will have to get together for lunch one day.

All I want I promise is 25 more pounds and that means GOAL:D

I live in that area. There was a group that met at Starbucks in the Target store on Frye and 290. Don't know if they still do or when. There are a lot of us around here so maybe someone will know.
