    Warm Drink Ideas?

I love to drink hot chocolate in the cold weather. Instead of using sugar free hot chocolate, I use no sugar added carnation instant breakfast with warmed milk...It's now one of my favorite things to drink and the 15 grams of protein is a plus!

    This is so stressful!

I don't think it was my insurance that made for such a long wait. I think it had more to do with the amount of people that want bariatric surgery. The program was not required for my insurance but I felt that it prepared me to have the surgery. I am feeling better after a week. I will be back to work as soon as the surgeon approves me.

    This is so stressful!

Hi Matty, I understand that waiting is the worst part. In my area we have to go through a long process before we are approved for surgery. I was banded last week and the whole process took about 11 months. I think patience is very important in this process because it is for the long haul. The band is a tool to help lose weight and not an instant solution. So hang in there, you will be banded soon enough. I highly doubt that your insurance would through you out because of your hernia. If anything, the weight loss through the help of the band would help to ease some of the pain caused by the hernia. Good luck!
  7. I am also feeling dizzy and weak. I have just been resting and have been too afraid to drive just yet. Hopefully the resting will help the dizziness go away.

    Hello

I think it depends on the person and amount of pain you are in that determines how soon you can return to work. I felt awful for the first couple of days and am now on day 6. Although I am feeling better, I am stil not ready to return to work, even though I have a desk job. Hopefully you will be feeling better and you will be able to return sooner. Good luck with your surgery!
  9. Hey, I was banded on the 23rd and have also been having issues with burping. I was also surprised at the amount of pain I had. I have a spasm where my port is when I change positions, but it seems to have subsided. Does anyone else experience a burning pain, where the port is located, when they laugh or cough??
