  1. OMG your doing and losing exactly where you should be. I was banded 11/19 and have lost 8 pounds. I would killl to have lost 30.
  2. I just don't get it. The scale just will not move for me. I eat 1/4 of what I use to. Get exercise in daily. Band at 7.2cc so I have good restriction. I can't break 200 for nothing. It has been 2 months banded and I am still at an 8 pound weight loss. :w00t: My DH doesn't get it either, he sees what I eat everyday. Anyone out there have any ideas? Anybody else go thru this? :tt1: Help I am losing my mind.
  3. I was told by my doctor that people can feel tightness due to the stress they have about flying. As you notice if you are stressed out you feel tight. I don't stress out when flying so I should be fine. I have talked to others that fly and no one has had a problem.
  4. Sorry I am having the oposite problem. Still waiting for one. Hang in there. Notice a bigger loss the week you have it?
  5. You there yet Colorado Chick? I am still stuck at 202. UGH!!! :yikes:
  6. I totally know how you feel. I finally have some restriction this week and boy I am learning the hard way to slow down and chew. Last night had the sliming for about 10 minutes. Sheesh that is the worst feeling when something is stuck. The post before me had some good ideas. It's funny how I still want to finish that dinner though. Total head thing. I guess it is a learning process for us all. :yikes:
  7. So you had your fill on the 9th and are getting really good restriction now? So did it take a few days for it to kick in? I am curious since I am new and still trying to figure out this whole fill thing.
  8. I feel your pain. Hang in there. It is so weird that every doctor has different ways to do things. Although when I went in last week they gave me 1cc cause I begged her to when she only wanted to give me .5. So she did and she had to take .5 back out. [i was not able to swallow the water very well. It was gurgling.] So this week I got that other .5 back in and was fine. So sometimes it is better to go slow. I guess it takes our stomachs a little while to get use to each fill.
  9. I think I have restriction. Last night I was trying to get to my support group meeting and was running late. I decided to eat my canned green beans first while I was waiting for my fish to cook. I could not get them all down and it was only 1/2 cup. Could only take 3 bites of fish and I was done. Finally. They always take out the fluid on every fill to make sure how much is in there. So I asked why I am taking so long to get any restriction. She said I have a low BMI and my stomach may be small. She said I may need more to feel resticted. So I am excited to see how this week works for me and if I can lose. She did say I had lost 4 pounds since last week. I am not sure how correct that is since my scale says different.
  10. I am so glad I found this post. You all have given me hope. I went in today for my 4th fill. I am at 7.2 in a 10cc band. Still feel no restriction. So maybe my next one which is scheduled next monday will do the trick. I thought I was the only one that was not feeling anything.
  11. I was just banded in November. I don't know if I would do it again. I have still not lost anything. Always hungry. Went in today for my 4th fill. I am at 7.2 in a 10cc band. I finally had something get stuck this last weekend and the pain was so bad I thought I was going to pass out. And I have a high tolerence for pain. I can't have anything carbonated. To me right now it all seems like a huge waste with no difference in controlling my hunger. I am hoping that it is going to get better. Thank god I have a doctor that allows fills once a week. You may want to look into that. If you have a doctor that only allows you to get them every 6 weeks like some and have a hard time getting restriction you may not feel anything either for months.
  12. Good Luck Heather. I just got back from my 4th fill and feel no different. Came home hungry and ate, deli turkey, some chicken breast, 3 laughing cow cheese and some crackers. Had to stop cause I felt I was eating too much. Not because I was full. Already hungry again and it has only been 2 hours. UGH!!! I am getting so depressed how this just isn't working for me. I am at 7.2cc in a 10cc band. I don't get how so many can have restriction at so much less. Let me know how this fill goes for you.
  13. Just wondering how everyong that was not losing is doing. I just had my 4th fill today which puts me at 7.2cc. Does not feel any different. I have not eaten yet so we'll see. Anybody losing weight? I still am up then down. This sucks.
  14. I hear ya. How many cc's do you have? I have 6.2cc in a 10cc band. I am always hungry and can eat way too much. I am hoping mondays fill will do the trick. How many fills have you had?
  15. JMEGIRL lets just agree to disagree and leave it at that. You don't get it and just want to argue about it. So nevermind.
  16. Like you stated it is your opinion. You seem to have strong opinions on this site which are not always correct. I was only saying why freak someone out when you are very new to having the band, regardless how much you read. It is a learning process for everyone and to freak someone out for no reason is not cool. I know I would not want the added stress especially from someone who is not in the medical field to give. I am sure if she was really concerned about it she will call her doctor. But to give a diagnoses on something you yourself is learning about is a bit much. Sometimes it is better just to not say anything.
  17. Why would you tell her that to freak her out when you don't know that. Remember you to are very new to banding.
  18. I was at 202 also this morning. We are so close.
  19. I need to. As you can see I am not losing compared to everyone else. I just started to this week with the last fill. But I am really struggling this week with being hungry and not over eating. So I am hoping on monday when I get that 4th fill I should be there.
  20. So then after every fill it eventually gets loose? So should you be tight at a fill?
  21. With your first fill did you wait it out or go in to get unfilled?
  22. Just wondering .......when I was reading some of these posts. Does anyone think things they use to love to eat taste different now after banding? And you don't want them like you use to?
  23. I was banded on 11/19/08 and had my 3rd fill last monday. I am going in this monday for another which will be my 4th. I am currently at 6.7cc in a 10cc band. I am still waiting to find the sweet spot so I can start losing.
  24. OMG! I totally know what your going thru. Been there. I was so excited to get the surgery then it hit me. I freaked out and almost cancelled. I even wanted to cancel when I was there once the IV was in. I thought what am I doing. But it is normal. You will be fine. Just think of how great you will feel once you start losing the weight. That is how I got thru it. I am tired of being the fat girl.
