  1. Glad to hear someone out there feels my pain. (no pun inteneded, lol) I hurt even when I chew chew chew my cottage cheese. Should that hurt? It is not stuck, I can feel it moving thru the band and it hurts. Anyone else out there get this?
  2. Does it ever hurt when you eat? I don't know if it is because I was so tight before and am still sore from all the pb'ing. Anyone else ever go thru this? And I still don't get this. Your "sweet spot" is suppose to keep you full for 4 hours and not be hungry. I had to have fluid taken out cause I was too tight and could not eat. Now I can eat again but am so hungry all the time. This makes no sense to me. I can't add anymore in there or I won't be able to eat but I am so hungry with what I have in there now. Any ideas?
  3. I know they took out .15 last night and I feel ok today. Was able to get cottage cheese down this morning. It is weird that such a small amount makes such a huge difference. I still don't get this whole band thing. Hand in there, but if you are still having problems eating I would go in and have them take out a little. Just that little bit will help.
  4. Had to go in after hours tonight to get an unfill. I could not even get hot tea down it was so bad. They took out half of what they put in yesterday. So they took .15cc out. I hope I this one works. I am still sore though from having everything hurt going down then coming up. Eeesh. What a day. But hey they weighed me again from yesterday and I lost 2 pounds. HA! I guess that is one way of doing it.
  5. I have been getting fill once a week as well. Why wait? I also don't get tighter as time goes by I get much loser. So waiting 2 weeks would not make it tighter. I guess everyone is different.
  6. Really? WOW. I am having a hard time getting anything down. I tried to eat some tomato Soup and it took forever. But Water goes down ok. I am going in tomorrow to have a little taken out. So you were really tight at first with 8cc? Hmmm I wonder if I should just wait it out. This band thing is so frustrating.
  7. Hello, I haven't posted on this thread in awhile. Still not losing. Went on vacation and since I have been back have had 2 fills which now puts me at 8cc in a 10cc band. Just got my last fill this Monday, which I am having a horrible time trying to eat anything. Took me over an hour to get a little piece of fish down last night. Today tried to eat cottage cheese for lunch and barely got 1/4 cup down. Just finally got some tomato soup down but took awhile. I am so hungry right now this sucks. I know I need an unfill and am going in tomorrow to have some taken out. But she only put in .3 yesterday. So I don't get it. Before that I was eating too much and not getting full and with .3 I can't hardly eat anything. This is getting so frustrating.
  8. Uh Olivia maybe you did not read the thread correctly. It is for people who have 8cc or more. :w00t:
  9. I had a low BMI as well, I had to gain weight to have the surgery covered by insurance. I was talking to a gal at one of my support group meetings and she said it took her till she was at 9cc for it to start working. Hang in there. I think this last fill may have helped. I hardly could get dinner down and am full. I finally feel restriction a little.
  10. Anyone out there have 8 or more cc's in your 10cc band? I just had a fill today which puts me at 8cc's. Still am not losing, hopefully after today I will. Just wondered if anyone else out there had to have a lot in there to hit their sweet spot.
  11. I have wondered that also. I sometimes get like a stuck feeling when I eat my first 2 bites. Like I can feel it going thru the band. But then it goes away. Is this normal? Has anyone else have this happen?
  12. YES! Banded on 11/19/08 still waiting to lose anything. I don't eat that much and still am not losing. Wish I never did it. Waste of time.
  13. Today: Morning - Nonfat iced latte' dinner - bowl of black Beans. That is it.
  14. I was never told not to. I always use them and have never had a problem.
  15. You couldn't be more wrong. Just because it is working for you does not give you any right to tell everyone that they are all doing it wrong because they are not losing. Who do you think you are? Obviously someone who thinks very highly of themselves. Dang.
  16. I have heard some warm water with a little meat tenderizer in it. Or pineapple juice.
  17. I TOTALLY AGREE! My doctor told me that I would lose all my weight within 6 months. He said having this surgery is a lot like being on Phen Phen. Yeah right! Who was he kidding. I have not lost any weight and I am eating a third of what I use to. I am not eating around the band and I have 7.2cc in a 10cc band. If I would have known that there a many out there that never lose with this band I would not have had the surgery. I did better on Medifast, WW or even Phentermine which I can still by on line. I had the surgery since I was told you don't eat that much because your stomach is smaller. Yeah right. I am eating less and still not losing. THIS SUCKS! :cursing:
  18. OMG! I am not blaming "the band" the thread was: Would you do it all again?" And I said no and gave my reasons. Never once did I blame the band for anything.
  19. Too tight? Are you kidding? I am not tight enough. I am leaving on vacation in a week so I dont want to have a fill right before I go. But too tight? Maybe you did not read my post. I AM NOT LOSING. I can eat anything and everything. There is very little restriction. I have been forcing myself to eat small portions, not by any means of the band. :tt2:
  20. NO! Have not lost. Can't ever have pop again. Things get stuck and it hurts. No bread, pizza, pasta, and for what? No weight loss. I am at 7.2cc in a 10cc band. I am not sure how much more it is gonna take. I can hardly eat things now and am still not losing. Does not make sense to me. I might as well of not had the surgery and went back on one of the many diets I was on. At least then the scale was moving.
  21. So is everyone losing more during TOM?
  22. I am sorry to hear your not losing either. But glad to know someone out there is struggling like me with this. I just don't get it. I am gonna stay at it also, I just hope the scale starts to move soon. This is getting very frustrating.
  23. I am at my sweet spot that is the problem. I eat small amounts of food on a salad plate. I eat Protein and veggie at meals, no carbs. Stay full for 5 hours and am still not losing a thing. I should be dropping weight compared to what I use to eat. I am at 7.2cc in a 10cc band. I get full quick and stay there. I don't snack at all during the day just eat my meals. I just dont know what else I can do to get the scale to move.
