  2. You don't need to get it from your doctor. You can get it right from Allergan: ID Card
  3. That's great. Congrats!
  4. You're fine. My nausea lasted for a month. I carried around a bottle of Emetrol every where I went. It's a cherry flavored liquid and CVS has their own brand. I think its only about 4 bucks. Works almost instantly!
  5. I can understand the hot sauce. It just about kills me. But why no garlic?
  6. That's great. Keep it up!
  7. It depends on when the doctor and hospital can fit you into their schedules. For me it was about 3 1/2 weeks.
  8. I'm not emotionally connected to anything plus sized. I did hang onto a couple of favorite t-shirts that I wear as nightgowns now. Salvation Army is a great place to get transitional clothes. Of course, I wouldn't buy underwear there...eww, that's just gross!! But I've gotten some really nice things there at very low prices.
  9. I get alot of the same pain if I over eat.
  10. Be careful with the s/f candy. Too much can cause diarrhea.
  11. Get some liquid Emetrol. Worked like magic for me.
  12. My doctor suggests taking meds in liquid form whenever available otherwise they shouldn't be any larger than an aspirin. I don't know what meds you are on but as you lose weight you should be able to eliminate some of them. As for sleeping on your belly....I really can't answer that. I used to all the time but haven't been able to since my first pregnancy 23 years ago.
  13. It should be slightly liquidy. You want everything to be runny enough to slip right through your band. It should be able to go through a straw.
  14. Next to something happening to my kids, that is truly my worst fear. I feel for you. This is where will power is going to have to kick in. The only advise I can offer you is to be totally proactive! Weigh yourself every single day and the minute you start seeing the number going up know that you have to change something. Keep the crap out of the house and keep yourself busy. Look at old before pictures and remember how awful you felt back then. You did a great job on your weight loss. You can do this too. Good Luck. Any chance they can put a new one in?
  15. I was the same way in the beginning. I had absolutely no appetite or interest in food. My doctor knew and said "If you're not hungry don't eat. Just make sure you are getting enough water and taking your vitamins." So that is my advise to you. Force yourself to drink water. You don't want to become dehydrated. I did. It was not pleasant!
  16. Until you reach your goal, trying getting things in the in between sizes at Salvation Army. I have gotten some of the cutest clothes there. The are very inexpensive so you aren't investing alot into things you aren't going to be wearing for long plus the money you do spend is going to a charitable organization. Its a win-win!
  17. Try pureeing some potato soup. Just make sure its thin.
  18. You're band is pretty full, you get reflux when drinking water and you are not losing weight? Sounds like the red zone to me! You are too tight!!
  19. Keep punching him! You might want to sign up for a kick boxing class and make him your target there too! LOL! Good luck. This is one journey I would not want to have to make a second time!
  20. Good luck getting the doctor on the phone. Honestly, being portrayed as a b***h or a pain in the a$$ has really never bothered me. I want what I want when I want it. If you can't get anywhere on the phone go to the office. Don't leave until you're satisfied!
  21. I still go to Torrid. They have the best shoes!
  22. Spendorphin rush....I love it! I am so stealing that!!!
  23. I have always been a spicy food kinda gal. In fact, when I preggers with my youngest, I couldn't get enough. I would eat jalapenos right from the jar. Since my surgery anything hot about kills me! Just the thought of it hurts!
  24. Hi, Kristin. Welcome. I just looked at your profile. You should have no trouble reaching your goal. You really aren't very far away from it. It's time to climb back on the bandwagon. It might help if you start back at square one and go on liguids for a couple weeks. That should help get your body and your mind used to the idea. Go get yourself filled to slightly less than whatever your highest was and then go back a month later and get a little more. I'm sure with 4 kids you are already getting plenty of exercise! LOL! Take this opportunity to teach them good eating habits too while your at it. Good luck. You can do it!
