  2. Hey there I share the same thing as Jodi with PCOS and hypothyroid...my doc warned me that just like trying to lose in the past this is going to be a mad scientist mix...LOL! That it might take some work with the thyroid meds and fills and the diet to find what works for me...he warned that in some people it takes awhile before the perfect mix is found....so don't give up....my biggest life saver has been my nutrionist.... I know its some money but to me at least its so well worth it.... they've given me foods to help my body not hinder.... keep ur head up!
  3. Just asking for some crossed fingers today... Was banded on 10/20 and the doc has had me on Clear liquids since 2 days before....needless to say my love for crystal light has now turned to enraged hate! LOL! But today at 2pm I go back to the dr to find out if I can move it on to my pureed stage... I got the magic bullet already out on the counter ( for those that don't have one its the best investment I ever made in my life... mini blender thats great for bandster portion with a lotta power!) the baby food is all kinds of stocked up in the cabinets and I may as well own stock in Campbells! I AM READY!!!! I didn't start getting hungry till late saturday...but the thought of a spoonful of some baby peaches or even that nasty looking chicken seems like heaven! I know I sound a bit dramatic...but I'm a hungry girl right now! So I know I'll be content the first few days with baby food but anyone got some yummy high Protein low fat pureed ideas? Yeah Puree!!!!! Thanks~Megs
  4. i feel u... it hurts... and for me they're a security blanket... I like to have them because I know I looked nice in that size in them... but this is what my husband helped me to do (and he really didn't get, but tried) and it actually worked... save 3 items that u LOVED from every size and hold onto them for the "before" clothes....the rest I brought into a local thrift store that actually pays u based on the condition of the clothes... I only made $30 bucks but it was a new pair of jeans in my new size... My plan now after being banded is to take those 3 pieces from everysize and have them made into a quilt...this way I don't forget ever the work to get to every size and can still Celebrate the clothes I wear....yeah, I'll admit it... I really love some of my clothes LOL! Its hard...hang in there... ~Megs
  5. good luck to ya kenny! I had similiar...my pre op started 3 days out with soft foods then on the day before liquids.... My doc explained that sometimes in bigger people it just makes life easier for them to have the small intestines and bowels a little empty...so go drop the kids off at the pool.... LOL ...if ya know what I mean! LOL ....sorry to be gross, just trying to help for post op! I was banded a week ago and have no regrets...by day 4 I was on liquid tylenol...and today I just feel as if I did a few too many sit ups.... I thought mine was too easy too, the whole process from seminar to band was less than 4 months... but I was wrong...just be prepared to have ur own experience...and if u got a minute a great book I would reccomend would be Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies...its been my bible pre & post op in giving a good sense of whats to come and whats normal and not.... hope this all helps and good luck today!
