  1. That is awesome Maria!!! Way to go!:clap2:
  2. Verrrrry good Mandi....I'm so proud of you!!!
  3. Yay you Doriana....only four more days now!!!! You are almost there!!! Then soon you will be on here seeking advice for post-op stuff (diet etc)...and then you'll be GIVING advice to others like a pro!!
  4. Okay, I just got to these posts now....Lila & Mandi....so I measured like you said...from the crotch basically the top of my leg where it "joins") to the actual floor....and the measurement was 28.25 inches. Of course if I measured to where I would want my pants to hang (which would not be touching the floor!) it would be less. Hmmmm so maybe I do have short legs.
  5. Hey Cloe....as long as you had fun, and that is all that mattes. Green: oh boy, can I relate....we should swap stories sometimes. Picture me alone in places such as Amsterdam (I got mugged), Columbia (yes, partying along with the drug cartels....I was escorted by armed guards off the "streets" that I wandered into towards a "safer" area), Berlin (getting off at the wrong train stop and wandering the bus depot freakin' out of my mind)....oh..sometimes I wonder how I got out of some situations intact. But, looking back now...of course they are all awesome memories that I wouldn't trade for the world. (but I would never let any kid of mine do what I did....at least not by themselves....I think I was just lucky!).
  6. Thanks Cloe....I never realized that or looked at it that way....that IS helpful!!! I feel bad for Mr Yoda though....as some of you may know, he has slowly but surely lost about 25 lbs (not banded....just doing things "better" along with me) but of course since he doesn't have the band he does the "yo-yo" thing a lot (that I'm sure we are all familiar with!). So, this week he gained 4 lbs!!! Eeeep. And there was no reason really that he should have....I hope he doesn't get too discouraged.....I mean, he doesn't have a tool like I do. I feel bad for him when that happens. He seems to take it all in stride but I know deep down it frustrates him. Anyways.....yes, almost half way!!! Maybe by Xmas I'll be half way; that would be a kewl goal!

  8. OMIGAWD Lila!!! What a freakin' NIGHTMARE!!!! Honestly, I recommend you send that post to your band doc. in TO and let them know. That is just inexcusable.....ALL of it!!! I dunno man......I don't think I would let him near me again....but that's me. Is there nooooooooooooooo other option? I at least hope this fill is a good one for ya. "my sweat"......O MY F*CKIN' GAWD!!!!!!!! The whole experience gives me the heebeegeebees.... :omg:
  9. ummmm okay....ya....that's true.....I did neglect to mention that fact. *sigh* I do have realllllllllllly short legs. For someone 5'5", my legs should be a lot longer than they are. Tks for reminding me of my SHORT LEGS, Lila!!! :nervous
  10. seriously though Cloe...you do press "quote" on the bottom right corner, correct? If you do and it still get screwy, it might be because you are editing the quote and thereby inadvertently removing the stuff that says "
  11. that's okay Mandi....it all relates to NSVs.....so shop away!!! (within budget, of course!!) LOL. By the way, I'm 5'5" and I ALWAYS have to get pants shortened unless I can find them in the petitie length (then they are puuuuurfect). Mr Yoda gets a kick out of the fact that I will buy "capris" and they are the right length for me (ie. full length)....hardy har har!!! Personally, I'd like to know who the hell these tall women are that the pants all seem to be made for....cause when I look around....I'm the average height....so where are these 5'9" women hangin' out?
  12. Yeah....that's the ticket!!! As our fellow Canucky Corey Hart once said, "Never Surrender"!!! That song got me through a lot back then and it will again!
  13. I think it was some Egyptian guy from the Pyramid era....yeah,...that's it!
  14. Welcome fellow nosy Canuck DameJ!! :welcome:
  15. Because the rest of us are "special"
  16. Hear hear Woodys!!!! That is exactly correct! (I especially like that he said how the surgeries "take all the work and effort out of shedding pounds"....yup, cause this is sooooooo easy!!!). He's a nobody whose opinion isn't worth the paper it is written on.
  17. once again, great minds think alike
  18. ROTFLMAO *Rolling on the Floor Laughin' my ass off*
  19. *bumping* I notice lots more Canadian users on here.....inquiring minds wanna know the username origin (okay, nosy minds!). :canada: :canada: :canada:
  20. I will expect my invitation to be gold embossed, thank you very much!
  21. Better not be my caribou!!
  22. You guys are tooooo funny!!!! YGATF!!!!!
  23. You have a good positive attitude Taymac and that is half the battle!!! Keep up the good work and good luck!! You can do this.
  24. Wheezy: what is "quite a while"? how long has it actually been?
  25. I have restriction, and I can eat bread without trouble (mind you I eat verrrry tiny bits and chew it to bits). Just because people can eat bread "without trouble" doesn't mean it isn't working....bread is just like any other food....some people have probs with it and some don't. Don't use whether you can eat bread or not as your guideline. How long have you "plateaued"? Don't forget; a plateau can last several weeks.
