  1. That is awesome; way to go!!
  2. LOL Andrew...>Mr Yoda was reading over my shoulder and you just made him guffaw out loud!!! You're forgiven for the dog/baby suggestion!! LOL
  3. Good idea but knowing Mr Yoda as I do, a dog (or a baby for that matter!) would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than spilling somethin' on the keyboard!!! hehe
  4. So, here I was sitting at my computer (about 20 mins ago)....doing the surf thing and sipping on my Breakfast drink before I have to leave for work. I was all comfy and settled....took a sip (okay, okay, a big sip!) of my drink, swallowed it and then felt like I was going to cough. I didn't feel too tight and just figured it was going to be an average, run-o-the-mill cough....big deal right? So, I cough and as I started to cough I quickly realized "UH OH"....as my brain realized this was going to be a problem a little too late, it didn't have time to appropriately react and set up an effective defence. So, ummmmmmmmmmm.....lets just say I completey spewed my chocolate milky concoction (witch's brew) as I coughed and it went ALL OVER the friggin' keyboard (do you KNOW HOW many nooks & crannies are in the keyboard that seem to yell out for my drink to flow into?), all over the front of my work uniform and on the rug. Now, I KNOW I did not swallow THAT much drink so I'm assuming much of it was chocolate covered slime. *sigh* Mr Yoda is going to killlllll me. Hmmmmmm, unless I have successfully wiped up the mess (on the keyboard, table, rug, and chair!) and it dries before he gets home later today. I guess I'll be okay as long as he doesn't turn the keyboard upside down and shake it (no, something he is not prone to doing). I guess he has a point when he says I shouldn't drink at the computer, eh? Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I HATE it when he is always right!!!!! Anyways....so be forewarned: don't drink and surf....or at the very least....don't drink, cough and surf!
  5. abolutely not!!! noooooooooooooooo, not at all..... :rolleyes :heh:
  6. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, tis sooooo difficult but I will refrain from making a comment.. .............mmmmmmmmmmmmmpppppppppph *puts hand over mouth*....
  7. I still take benefibre (powder) every day in the morning in my drink....you get a good deal on it at Costco.
  8. No worries Yasmina, they'll just eat take out over your belly while they're sewin' ya up!!! LOL
  9. nah, I'll still do all - inclusives....who cares if I don't eat much!! I also don't drink alcohol (haven't in years) but it is still worth it to go to an all inclusive!
  10. Astrotoes: yup, the wicked headaches will eventually subside as your body gets used to the no carb thing....think of it as a drug addict going thru withdrawal...that is truly what your body is experiencing....but it is easier knowing the "why" behind it...just stick with it and I promise it will get better. Also, the literal hunger pangs will eventually subside as well...they didn't go away for me but they do subside once your body realizes that it's whinin' ain't gonna get it any more food!! LOL. Now, I could be wrong, maybe they pangs don't really subside per say...but you sorta start to ignore it and forget about it, ya know? One thing I kept telling myself....everytime I felt a hunger pang/pain...I'd smile and think..."hahahahaha....my body is now burning fat cause it isn't gettin' fed"....that helped!!! Good luck all.
  11. Yes, thank you for the insights Heather; so appreciated! Good question above....do you drink diet carbonated beverages? (I already know the answer for meeee on this one....just curious on yours).
  12. very kewl indeedy! Well done! :clap2:
  13. I agree with maria....does your buddy do a different type of work? And...*smacks you upside the head*...OF COURSE it is attainable....yes.... I mean, lookit you go!!!! I bet you thought 100lb lost would never be attainable and you are pretty much already there!!! Now, the loss might slow down and become more gradual...but that is OK!!! It may even be better with helping it to stay off and then maintaining....as long as you lose over the longterm you're laffin'!!!!! You WILL get there Mandi......absolutely!
  14. I'm glad you said it Mandi, cause I was thinkin' it!!! Most people I see on here with the 4cc band start at a .5 cc fill and sometimes reach the sweet spot well before 2 ccs..... Bandiva, I hope all will be well....I'm going to assume because you didn't feel discomfort right away (ie. after the fill when you drank some water) that perhaps you will be fine.... *fingers crossed*
  15. I loooooooooooooove Playa del Carmen....went in Nov 05....fun fun fun!!
  16. OMIGAWD MANDI!!!! ONE MORE POUND and you are in the THREE (3) digits lost!!!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  17. glad u had a fab time Khrissy...now your journey begins! BTW, that was also my starting weight!
  18. don't compare yourself sg!! You are doing great! It all counts. Two months....at 1 lb (ie. average) per week is 8 lbs and you are at 20.....don't sell yourself short!!!!
  19. Mookie...they are in Mr Yoda's wallet! LOL
  20. Yeah Heather....... So once you are at goal, do you plan on getting a small de-fill and then just attempting to "maintain"? Do you have a plan for that?
  21. I had to look back to see what my goal(s) were!!! I made one and missed one. 1. Get to where my ticker is no longer a lie.... ACCOMPLISHED!!!! 2. Stop being so dang hard on myself ......ummmmm, not quite accomplished! (but doin' better!).
  22. ...that she wore for the first time today... (yes Mandi...yes....you do amaze!) :huggie:
  23. yeah, she is a lil' subtle....she must learn to be more blunt!! :rolleyes
