  1. oh...and no extra charge if they are doing it for a reason. I've had all my fills except for the first 2 under fluro. My next one tho (this Mon) will be done without fluro...but by Dr. Y at his office in Scar. (not the clinic)
  2. If there is a reason to do them under fluro they will...but they aren't done at the clinic...you make an appt. for a fluro fill through the clinic (but they will only do so under Dr. Y or J's recommendation) but the actual fill itself is done at the Scarborough-Grace Hospital in Scarborough.
  3. *thinkin' someone has pant-napped Mandi's size 16 jeans and she will soon get a ransom note*... MMMMWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa
  4. all the best sherry.....overall the odds are VERY much in your favour.....it is normal to feel the way you are, so try not to let it get to you too much. (((hugz)))
  5. Andrew.....Mr Yoda's dad lives in Niagara Falls.....from where you will be staying it is only an hour drive. Re. the butterfly conservatory....I believe there is also another one right close to where you are staying (ie. 10 - 15 min drive).....I always see a sign for it...(Hwy # 7 and 427 intersection)....can any of you TO folks help out on this one? I dunno anymore details than that. Sounds like the lil' tyke will be very social while you are gone!! It is the parents that will miss him; not the other way around!!!
  6. Astro: from my understanding, the "full" feeling is different for everyone....it isn't generally the same type of "full feeling" though that you are used to.....preband. I ALWAYS wish I could keep eating (for the most part) but I can't....and even tho I wish it I am glad I can't! I am satisfied (but I still wish I could eat more!)...but PHYSICALLY I am satisfied. No, I do not snack/graze during the day. Pre-band...I did this sometimes....but I just literally physically can't do it now. Hope that helps...that has been my experience anyways!
  7. I agree with ousooner. But....if I heard my doc lost 3 patients, I have to be honest...I would have some real concerns and consider someone else. How many has he done it total? He lost 3 out of how many (that would tend to make a difference)....but it would concern me enough to find that statistical info out and then I may or may not decide to change docs. That being said, it is completely normal to feel nervous about it and to think of the "whatifs".....if not, you woulnd't be human!
  8. Andrew....r u guys taking your baby along too?
  9. yeah, we got invaded by an American there for a minute.....eep. (HotpinkBubbles!)...... hmmmm...... I wish there was a way people knew that they were on the CANADA thread....oh wait...there is!! They can LOOK!!! LOL. Emma....all that aside, Sherrijo did give you some very useful info.
  10. ditto......
  11. hate to break it to ya Mookie....you are, in fact, a "lightweight"!
  12. you are so damn lucky Cloe! (envy speaking!)
  13. Yeeeesh, someone is a tad defensive for some reason!!! hmmmmm, either way if I had a choice between choosing a doc who did 300 or 3000.....no brainer!! I don't care how he/she got the experience....the experience doing 3000 than the experience doing 300 will be better in my book!!! Not saying the 300 doc is no good...just saying he won't be as experienced........ 1 + 1 = 2 Not hard to figure out......
  14. You'll do great Yasmina!!! See ya on the other side!
  15. Awesome! Well done! :clap2:
  16. There are dozens of Protein powders on the market as well as protein pre-made liquids....form GNC, to costco to Wallmart and everywhere inbetween. TLBC just gives isopure as an example. Don't forget....you can put any Protein powder in a clear liquid and you are all set...... For me, I didn't like the taste of the powder in much of anything but stuck it out immediately post op.....once I could have full fluids it was better.....cause I could have it in milk and make a smoothie etc.....that's why the taste isn't all that important later on. Later, I would mix the protein powder (choc) in with choc Ensure.....for a Meal Replacement. I still do that for Breakfast sometimes.
  17. all the power to ya if anyone wants to spend the $$ on isopure but not me man. There are soooooooooooooo many varieties of Protein powder out there and Protein drinks.....for me it just wasn't worth it to pay that large sum of money; it is a complete rip off! IMHO. I did get protein powder at GNC but the generic brand and I had it (& still have it) in drinks and I literally got about 50 times more for the same price than I would have if I got something like Isopure. I wasn't worried about the calories because post op....I was hard pressed to get ANY calories in it and you do need 'em.....so it was a bonus for me....calories and protein. All I'm sayin' is don't get sucked into paying ridiculous prices if you don't want to; there are too many other avail options!
  18. Mookie: I agree man....take that damn disclaimer outta there!!! OUTTTTA THERE I say!!!! BTW, isn't "Mookie" the name of that hivey stalker dude in "Something About Mary"? (only one of THE funniest movies EVER made!!)
  19. SSSSSSSsssssssssssssssssssssh Neenagh!!! YEEEEESH....now I'm gonna have to ensure Mr Yoda doesn't see your post!!!! CENSOR!!! He don't need anymore ideas!
  20. awwwww poor Maria!! I know!!!! It can really hurt, huh???? You did it though!!!! :clap2: :clap2: You just get right back up on that horse though....be sure you don't shy away from whatever made you slime.....try it at some time again!!! I think it is really just timing...not the food!
  21. pssssssssssssst Neenagh.....I think Mandi has "666" tatooed under her hairline! That's why she was so worried about losing her hair after surgery!
  22. I agree 100%; an attitude adjustment right up the ASS!:huytsao
  23. LOL @ Green....yeah, the god's are on our side cause that has only happened to me at home too!!! Mookie....are you peeking into my life?? Do you know how many Roots bags I have? LOL. I think that if I get another bag/purse from Roots Mr Yoda might finally reach his limit of patience!!!!! He seems to think I'm addicted to bags.....I beg to differ....my actual addiciton is to watches (I have about 50 of them now). Actually, I joke, but Mr Yoda is so very tolerant of my Roots bag fetish and in fact has purchased some for me himself!!! and....um.....errrrr, no YOU keep the optifast.....truly....really...I don't wanna put ya out!
  24. Astrotoes, I think some ppl who had their surgery in Mexico say that and keep that rumour going to make themselves feel better about having their surgery in Mexico vice their home country....like they need to convince themselves it is "okay" or something. I'm not saying that perhaps some Mexican docs didn't train other docs (ie. in the US perhaps?) but it's not as common as they like ppl to think.
