  1. hi folks - well I have problems - technical problems - and I'm wondering about anyone else. I had a procedure with a local the other day where the dr. reopened by port incision (after 7 months) and fished around. The fill was going in but each time he tried to check the amount in there, hardly anything was coming out - but I was still very tight. So the procedure didn't tell much except that the problem was deeper - likely the band or near the band - maybe a kink in the tubing. Anyway, I'm schedule for another surgery now - which is not exciting but at least we have an idea of why I'm not having any success. I wondered if this has happened to anyone else. Also I have the Johnson and Johnson lapband and apparently my doctor has had other problems with this equipment (not certain why he hasn't changed yet). Anyway he's talking about further costs for this corrective/exploratory surgery. I think he and/or Johnson and Johnson should suck it up. Any comments folks? (I've already spent $15,000)
  2. Your article sounds like you might understand my problem. I had my surgery 6 months ago. I recently had a barium xray and the tubing is not leaky and working properly, the band looked nice and snug with 7ccs. The problem is that I have no sensation of fullness - I never feel any different. I do get the hiccups occassionally. I've talked to the DR and since the mechanics are correct, he can't really help me. I've talked to two people who've had the surgery with success and they're totally surprised, can't understand it. Do you think I just need to try alittle more fill or maybe a little less so food will actually get stuck and tell me to stop. I know that I'm not doing my part as far as wise food choices and exercise but the point is the band isn't helping me at all either. So far this really, really expensive for no results. Gloria
  3. I don't know how to post a question
  4. STace - if you live in Canada and you had your surgery in Tiajuana - how are you going to have your fills done and what will you do about support?
  5. I flew - long flights, 5 hours x 2 - no problems, never even thought of it.
