IT TOOK ME 2 YEARS TO ACTUALLY DO THE LAPBAND I WENT TO A SEMINARE ALSO THEN I SAID OMG WHAT IF THIS HAPPENS OMG WHAT IF THAT HAPPENS JUST REALLY SCARED THEN I DID FORGET ABOUT IT FOR A WHILE BUT THIS YEAR IN JULY I DECIDED ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH I DID ALL THE DIETS AND PROGRAMS NOTHING WORKED U GOTAA BE TRUE TO YOURSELF AND REALLY THINK ABOUT IT EVERYTHING IN LIFE HAS RISKS IF U DRIVE A CAR THERES A RISK IF U WALK OUT SIDE THERE IS A RISK A DRUNK DRIVER WILL COME AND HIT U .. IT JUST SOMETHIN U GOTTA TRULY THINK AND SEE IF IT WHAT U WANT :blushing:

Hiii i had my lapband on novemeber 24 so i missed thanksgiving which was hard BUTT i would not change nothing what u can eat which isint that bad is chicken broth a lot of yelloo lol drink apple juice and cranberry thats what kept me up :cursing: hope that helps a little GOOD LUCKKK :laugh:

wow that story was really amazing i had phones ringin next to me and i didnt even hear them i was soo into your story u trully are a inspiration my surgury is on the 24 of novemeber i was having some regrets but readin this im feelin a little better thankkk u so much and u look greattt :smile2:

Sure i can well u gotta do thoese two tests before u can even try to get a approval from your insurance .. the abdominal ultrasound basically yea to see how youur liveer is and if everything is normal or u got anything in it.. and the upper gi series its kinda harder cuase they make u drink this yuckie thing lol thats just to make sure everything u get in your stomach goes in good they take pics of it.. Just hold your nose and drink it dont think about how its gonna taste its not that bad just a little chalky not really that bad and after those are done and hopefully its good u can then try your insurance . :teeth_smile:

Wow girl its like my life right there i have done everything u can name even went to the gym 7 days a week everything works good in the first month second month goes down the drain and i would get frustared and eat even more so i feel what your going to.. I have been thinking about the lapband over 2 years now so i dunno how i finally got the nerves to do my upper gi test and abdomnal ultrasound and thank god everythinng was good so my surgury date is the 24th of november.. im excited yet scared.. like evryone else but yea u right gastric is a little more scary.. soo good luck in all u do your not alone im 24 years old so i know exactly how u feel :teeth_smile:

thats not true i know 100 percent is u have to have a bmi of 40 not 50 i just got approved with bluecross and my bmi is 40 hope this helps u a little

SO I POSTED A THREAD THIS MORNING AROUND 10 SAYING I WAS WAITING FOR MY INSURANCE TO APPROVE MY SURGERY AND AROUND 1:00 PM I CALLED MY INSURANCE TO MAKE SURE MY AUTHORIZATION WAS SUMMITED AND THE LADY AT BLUE CROSS SAID YES WE RECEIVED IT AND IT WAS APPROVED THE PHONE DROPPED FROM MY HANDS I THOUGH FOR A SECOND I WAS REALLY DREAMING BECAUSE I ALWAYS DREAMED ABOUT IT SO MUCH I JUST BURST ED OUT CRYING IT WAS REALLY A SHOCK I GOT MY DATE ON THE 17TH OF NOVEMBER SO HOPEFULLY MY PRE OP GOES GOOD.. IT IS REALLY A UNBELIEVABLE FEELING SO NOW I GOTTA GET READY EMOTIONAL Y AND MENTALLY.... JUST ANYTHING FROM ANYONE WOULD BE GREAT TO READ .. THANK YOU. :thumbup:

woww thats so crazy yea i think now a days younger people are into this more i understand where u are comming fromm .. but guess what i got approved today i think u were a good luck charm i was in total shock i just called my insurance to see if the auth was send and she told me it was approved i dropped the phone and cried so much i felt like it was a dream.. 10 months is longg u gotta change your family dr asappp or go to another state and do it.. why dont u try mexico.. maybe that will be good for u since u are paying cash and its a lot cheaper. okay then keep in touch im crossing my fingers for u :thumbup:

Hi everyone just though i would say hiiii to all u wonderful people .WOW im juust shocked at all these stories I'am seeing here and the results everyone in here is a role model espcially for me .. I'am 24 years old and basically my life is hell and i need this lapband more then ever. Been thinking about it for a while but always held back so i finally decided im goin to do it .. Ive done the gi and abdominal ultrasound and everything is good.. All im waiting for now is my insurance to approve it.. Worst part ever knowing that u cant really do anything but Waitt .. I get scared sometimes because i dunno it is surgury and i hope nothin goes wrong im only 24 i have soo many things planned in my life but hey its a risk that im goin to take.. Okay enough talking lol I need some help from people who have done it and people who are in the same situation waiting for the approval how they feel..?? just anything from anyone. Thank You.
