  4. Did you take more than one of the Gas-x strips? I made that mistake after surgery.. You NEED to take at least 3 or 4 of them in order for them to work.

looking for a Dr. in Ga.

I used Dr. Steinberg out of Dekalb Medical center. I live and work at a hospital in Gwinnett and had Never been to Dekalb so I was nervous but I had the BEST experience! Everyone loves Dr. Steinberg and everyone at Dekalb is amazing! The staff has always been very attentive.
  6. I tried those Gas x strips and they did not help...they say the gas is from the gas they have to pump into you for the surgery it's not like "regular" intestinal gas. I finally asked the doc and he said walking and time....ughh. So I have been walking as much as possible, but I have had another lap surgery and did not have bloating and gas like this. Thanks for the advice though!
  7. I was banded on March 19th. I am still very bloated and the gas pain bothers me more than anything. I have been out walking every day. I am soo bloated I can only wear pants with elastic because I can't even button any pants. Yesterday, I finally relieved more gas but I am still very bloated and full of gas...Is there anything else anyone did to get over this? I was told the sooner I got up and walking it would subside but I have been walking everyday and it still sits there.

    Newbie in GA

Thanks everyone! I live in Gwinnett.
  9. I keep seeing people saying they are using bullets...What are bullets? I am 2 days post-op and feeling pretty good besides the gas but walking is definately helping. The only problem I am having is back and neck pain from trying to sleep in a reclining position. We don't have a recliner so I just prop myself on pillows. Does anyone know if there is any other way to sleep during this healing process? I have also been wearing a compression cami...it's one of those girdle cami's and it makes me feel more stable when I'm up and around.
  10. Hello, My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow...I am sooo excited! I am looking forward to being a member of this forum.
