update for me day of surgery weight - 247.5 thanks Keri

I am taking my jewerly off tonight and giving my rings to hubby to hold on to. My earrings are out and I will take my tongue ring out on the way. That is the one thing I am afraid that will close. But has been in for over 2 years now......... My laptop and ipod are ready. I plan on using my music to walk to! I am excited! A little nervous about the pain afterwards. But all in all........ready! We can do it! Ker

Should I begin my clear liquid diet tomorrow.........?? I don't have to start it till tuesday! But thought no harm in starting it tomorrow... What do you think? Keri

I am going to start my clear liquid diet tomorrow.... due to my chronic constipation. I am hoping that will help me... Tonight I am having Spegetti, sausage and peppers, and a good salad. I leave in the am for my pre op appt. and then It is 2 days till the surgery! I am excited and very ready for this week to be over!

I have been watching what I am eating. Protein, and regular food..... I don't start my pre op prep till the 18th. I have all my stuff ready to go. I go in on the 17th for my blood work. We are with in 9 days!! Woo hoooo :laugh:

I don't know why but your post brought me to tears. I think what you are doing is awesome........and I hope you know he is looking down on you........ I haven't lost a child, but I worked with a awesome woman, and i got to be close with her. Well Sadly her Daughter passed away after a short battle with a brain cancer. Her name was Lara, well My daughters name, is Lara and it was after her daughter. I don't know why I felt compelled to share this, but I wanted you to know that you are not alone in your weight loss battle. I am so glad to have found this place, and so happy that we all have this bond over our special week! We are all being rebirthed......... We have a smaller person who wants to be on the outside, and they will! Keri

YES but I don't feel the need to work as hard as I do, and WE just get by...... he is a US soldier... and now I am bracing my self that my husband will not get the funding he needs for future issues.....as well as a job! We are in one of the POSTS that train other countries.... yes we help others. You lovely new elected man, wants to close them... where does that leave my family and my husbands JOB. So why do I need to work hard to just freely give that money back......hell no. My kids need shelter, food, clothes, and since we are just getting by........... I need MY MONEY THAT I WORK for!! My husband made an interesting point about " share the wealth" Imagine you are in a college class. You work you butt off and pull off an A. But there are a few who don't work as hard........ The teacher says....... I know that some of you are hard workers, but I have decided to give you all a c+ So does that make sence....... Just wondering....

And i am starting to get nervous..... Not that I wasn't before.....but it is getting closer! I am ready... got my stuff. How do I prepare the kids? I am not sure what to say to them, and how to explain it. They are 8 and 5 years old. I know some will be scared and the others won't be phased. I have 2 sets of twins, so incase you are wondering. Tonight at dinner I am going to tell the kids. In very simple terms. I am a nurse so I can get very technical, so I need to remind my self to be simple. Just that I am going to have owies, and that they need to be gentil with me. The dogs are going to be tough. Jedi is a jumper, and Tika, is going to be very lost with out me around. I am getting nervous. 1 week from tomorrow I will going for my pre op and then, 1 week from thursday it will be a week out from surgery. Keri

yah it totally sucks that we are being banded on my favorite holiday!! I love making the turkey.......the smells the flavors..... Oh I just remembered I have turkey broth!! They make stock from turkey... so look for that all! We can endulge on that. Keri

Well, I think that might work, but I am thinking about the incisions I am going to have, and if that they are rough around me.... Plus they are going to see me not eat with them for a bit. I know the little ones will understand me not being around overnight and they will understand me just hanging with friends. But the boys aren't that nieve. LOL Spencer is quite smart for is age. Thanks all! 12 days to go!!! I can't believe it! I have so many feelings right now..... Ohhh and this stuffing your self........ya me too. Hello all I am Keri......I am 31 and mom to 2 sets of twins. I am Proud Army wife to Darian. We have been Married almost 10 years. I have been fighting with my weight since the day I hit puberty. It is constantly on my mind and I had enough fighting with my weight! I am having my surgery in 16 days. I am scared and very nervous, but excited! I am in the south, and hope to be able to enjoy the mild winters here and walk alot more after my surgery! Keri
