  1. Hi Heather, Nice to meet you too:smile2:Now are you saying that 1 week after surgery you were able to start on the egg beaters and lunch meat? Do you drink water with your protein shakes in between meals? See some of this is confusing me:huh2:I am so glad that I have met you girls!!
  2. Yes maybe that is the problem, I am scared and just do not realize it. Afraid that I will never be the same, and not be able to eat normal foods like before? See my reasoning for surgery was to cut back my portion sizes, and still be able to eat small portions of anything. Does this make sense to you? I know I have the same feeling about the sweetness of the protein shakes, and also can we drink water and fluids with the protein shakes? :cursing:
  3. No only 1 gram of sugar:tt1: They are addicting too:lol:Did you go through a period within the first 2 weeks of surgery where it was hard to eat even protein shakes, and soft things? I have had a problem the past 2 days with feeling sick after eating or drinking?
  4. Hey Girls, I just got back from shopping. I did get a couple of cans of ff refried beans, ff sour cream, sf pudding, pea soup, creamed soups 98percent fat free, more ff cottage cheese, light fruit cups, and let me tell you ...... get the "no sugar added Edy's frozen fruit bars"!!!!!! They are to die for! Now when did you girls get to start on the ff refried beans? Mine isn't until the 3rd week post op which is one week from tonight? I would like to get some ideas as to when you all started/what foods.
  5. Jaime that sounds good!!!! Of course ff sour cream? That sounds so good right now! Can we have spicy things? I love Franks Red Hot Sauce. I should write down some of these questions for my first post op appointment Thursday:lol:
  6. Yes I love it too! I have to smash it up as I am in week 2 of the post op diet phase. I love it with sf applesauce:tt1: I am looking forward to week 3 with ff refried beans with ff shredded cheese on top:tongue2: Now after the 6 week healing can I have salads with my protein?
  7. Please give me your ideas on high protein, low cal and fat snacks!
  8. Hello everyone! I had lapband surgery on the 24th. My surgeon was a female and a Bariatric specialist. She even has commercials on TV! Well I am sore and really feel restriction already...is that normal? I did good on TG and just had fluids, no appetite. I started the one week phase today, which included FF cottage cheese that was supposed to be blended, but I just smashed it up. Do they mean blend in a blender?? My port site is sore too. Anyone else feel restriction right away?
  9. Hi Marcus, Nice to meet you! I am starting my pre-op diet Wed the 5th. It is a low cal diet for one week and then one week of clear liquids and protein shakes. I am nervous and very excited. What do you have to do before your surgery?
  10. Hi:teeth_smile: I am new too!!! My surgery is November 19th, and I could use some buddies:thumbup: Tammy
