  1. I am an attorney, and I really cannot afford to be out of the office too long. My surgery is October 29th and my plan is to be back at work the following Monday. I mainly sit at a desk unless I am in court. Is this too soon? Will I be able to do this? People are looking at me like I am nuts when I say when I am returning.....So I just wanted to get some opinions - how much pain will I be in?
  2. We are almost there guys. Anyway, just wanted to see - has anyone else felt an overwhelming sense of sadness in the last few days? I have been so ready for this surgery, but I just feel so down in the dumps - I can't figure out what my problem is
  3. I am on the 29th. It has been a whirlwind - I have had all my pre op testing - I don't have any problems at all - so I just need to show up at the hospital! My surgery is scheduled for noon. I am a bit nervous - I have an 18 month old, and aside for doing this for myself, I am also doing this to be there for him and to set a positive example with respect to weight and food. And to keep up with him! So I really hope all goes well.
  4. Ugh - my surgery is october 29th and I have a 29lb 18 month old - how the heck am I not going to lift him? My husband is not around 24/7? Now I am nervous.
  5. Hi - I am new here. I am being banded on October 29th - two weeks from today. So my pre-op diet started today. I just wanted to ask a question - I am supposed to have two protein liquid supplements and then 4/6 ounces of a lean meat and non-starchy veggies a day. That is it. The protein supplement must not be more than 5 grams of fat, and I am not to have more than 50 carbs on a given day. So I am drinking these liquid supplements (I just had the watermelon flavor) - but I am reading about people using slim fast, etc. I am not hungry yet but I am only in hour three and the protein thing made me kind of ill. Do I need to find something with more substance or will the liquid be okay?
