    hi...i have the mirena and my period did start back after i was banded and started losing. im not sure if its weight loss related or surgery related but either way it came back....bummer. im close to my 5th year so its time to have the mirena replaced. hopefully that stops them again.

    amy that was great, well said mommaforchange....i second guessed all the way up to the day before. the morning of my surgery i felt it was right. you have to go with your feelings. i was a professional junk food eater lol....and im not that person anymore. i still have cravings but its all about changing your habits. i wish you well on your decision

    Now that we are in or around our 8 month of banding I felt the need to come back to this thread. SO I'll be glad when I can... *Celebrate 100lbs lost *hit 260 so I can go make-up shopping (my reward) *lose 10 more pounds so I can fit a skirt i just bought *feel comfy on my next plane ride to NYC *see the look on my in-laws faces when they see the change LOL hopefully by then (Sept) i will be closer to 200 than 300. the last time they saw me i was in the 290's. now that we have lost a few pounds im sure our lists have changed a little. so from my previous list i CAN: *walk longer than 30 mins without my legs hurting *just go shopping for smaller clothes period *run around with my 4 y/o for longer than 5 mins

    wow i am so happy i ran across this thread. i felt like this just an hour ago. so when i think about it now i didnt even put a dent in the food.
  17. it really depends on my mood. one month its everyday then the next once a week. i do think that i do better when i weigh everyday. if i weigh daily its only once in the morning. i update my ticker weekly no matter what the scales says daily.

    great thread....i want to go to jamaica once i hit goal. i want a sports car too, dont know what yet but will enjoy looking for it when the time comes. mini goals are great too, it keeps us motivated.
