hey btb, i lost heaps till i started gym now it has stopped. remeber muscle is dense and heavy then fat so dont worry to much about scales. do u feel fitter and heathly? my bra size moved quicker then my pants size hahah keep going, took years to put the fat on, wont come off over night. so i keep telling myself

hey bridetobe, I had dolan too, i have 9ml in a 13ml band, he has also warned me off any more just yet, i go back in june. He is great, straight forward. I cant eat fast or bread but thats it, i was done 27/1 lost 21kg.

Hi all had lapband 27/1. i have a 13cc band and had a 8cc fill on 22/2, it dosnt hurt, the worse part is the amount of food you could eat has halfed. Im back to docs in 6wks.

Hi all I have 8cc in a 13cc band, i can only eat food to the amount of half my palm of my hand, water is ok. that was my first fill, im back in 6 wks

hi all I have inplant in my arm have not had periods for 2 yrs, then i was banded on the 27th jan started periods pains hungry bloating the next day had full period for 5 days now back to spotting. Doc said its hormone changes in body coz of food changes. i hope they dont stay.

Hi everyone, I was banded on jan 27th, i to found pre op diet hard, I was on three meals of opti fast a day for 14 days, when i felt starved or deprived i found other things to do, moving around things (Dancing with kids) if i still felt starved after 2 hrs i would have some salad. Dont forget lots of Water and weighing myself kept me going. i also planned on day 10 to have a nice small fat free dinner (chicken and salad and glass of wine) just for something to look forward to. i lost 10kg on pre op diet hang in there, you can do it.

Hi all Thanks for all the advice and best wishers. All is done now yay. Op went well, had a little gas and a little sore but ok, stuff you have to swallow for xray next day is so yuck. Had really bad nausea for the first 3 mornings which killed me, worked out if i slept upright in recliner i wasnt sick in the morning. Have been living on 2 iceblocks and liquid malata a day and bit of Water, no real pain just a bit of gas in the cheast and unable to eat anything (think its mental haha) Saturday night was the first time i had eaten since op on Tuesday, Hubby made me roasted garlic and spud Soup soooooooo nice althought only had 1/4 ladle also up to 800mls water, went for a short walk and slept in my bed with no morning sickness yay so excited now life is starting to get back to normal.

Hi all Things are good now. had my first meal last nite, roasted garlic and spud Soup so much better then ice blocks. So far this is easier then opti. how is everyone?

hey sunshine, so good to hear you are doing well. I dont have any pain, kept asking nurse when will it hurt hahah. Only a little gas but really sick every morning so far,dry reaching kills, i know im not pregs. and all i have eaten is ice blocks and water any one know what would be causing the morning sickness. tas

I have jelly, Soup,fruit & veg and juicer ready for when i get home as well as disolve panadol, degas and benfirbe is there any thing else we need? Did you cheat on your opti? im guilty i did, having had broncoctics and phmonumia and being on tons on meds it made me starving. but i just added chicken and tuna to my salad so just a bit cheat. i lost 10kgs wow. Hi Leah I to came down with a cold when i started 2 opti a day. Now i have broncitics and stressing coz my op is Tues week. i sooooo dont want it postponed. Make sure you look after yourself. ( i didnt kept working and exercising) Im on day 5 of full opti Easy now, Just hope cheast clears soon. tas

Hi all, Thanks sunshine its so cool knowing we are doing the same thing at the same time, i fell sooooooo much better today. how are you going? how is your wii going? i plan on using the wii fit after op, its harder then it looks. have you done all your shopping yet? im getting excited now. Hi joyco I to was warned about headaches so i did 2wks of 2 opti and dinner a day, then on tues i started 3 opti, by wend arvo i could have easily quit, i had sweats chills aches not to mention the headache and unable to sleep even thought i was full of pandeine forte. One good thing i havnt been hungry hahah yet. But thanks to sunshine i didnt quit and now fri morning i feel sort of normal. Do you have to have Optifast? when is your op? Bye for now tas

Hi everyone, Great to read all your great stories, thanks for great advise on constipation. Im currently on my second day of Optifast althought im not really hungry im as sick as a dog. Is it normal to have a massive headache joint aches and sweats? i have heard its bad to the third day. unsure if im just being a baby. Im in Perth my surgery on the 27th of jan is covered by hbf, i had to pay $1000 to docs admin as they follow you over several years also $250 for docs assisintant in surgery and deictican some covered on hbf and doc visits $100 b4 medicare. Im only in hospital 1 night then 2 wks off work. AT the moment it all feels to hard, thank you for sharing you stories and keeping me ontrack aleast for one more day. Tas
