  1. Hi, I had my surgery on September 17. I've done really well and have had two fills; the last one 3 weeks ago. But in the last few days, I have had a lot of trouble eating. Most everything gets 'stuck'. I've even come close to vomiting a couple of times. I don't think my band is too full, because this didn't start until well after my last fill. I normally have this problem right before I start my period, but that doesn't apply right now. I'm not the best at taking tiny bites, but I'm definitely working on that. At this point, I'm ready to go back to soft foods and Protein shakes for a while. I'm also experiencing painful discomfort around my port over the last week. Since my surgery, I've been 'aware' of the port, especially when I move a certain way. But this painfulness has just popped up. Has anyone else experienced either of these problems, and if so, what did you do about them? Should I be calling my doctor? Thanks for you feedback.
  2. Hi. I had my surgery September 17, so I'm feeling the same thing. I am still at the full liquid diet stage, and am missing just being able to chew food. I've been battling depression today, because it's Saturday and I didn't have anywhere to go and nothing to take my mind off of not eating. But I know deep down that we will get past this. Food will stop being so important and our lives will be better. Just take one day at a time and trust in the decision you've made. Good luck!!
