They've offered similar type prizes in other seasons, not all but if I remember correctly it always bit the winners in the a$$/ I so would have given blue this challenge even though I totally hate to loose anything. OK, I can say this about my DH since we already discussed it during the show. Jillian had the right to be disgusted with the team for the smoking, drinking and the way they ate.......I didn't think this was the appropriate time for Filipe to go off. (This is what my DH does, I get upset and complain about something he throws something else back at me and neither gets addressed). I don't know why he didn't get individual training but it wasn't an excuse for the food he ate on luxury. I am probably sticking my foot in my mouth but I did think Bob should have sent the cousins back to work it out. Both sides are playing the game, not just black. Once again we have to look at brown dad for another week. If Kristen hadn't had anonymity I think I would have sent her home, she seems to be the "Captain" of blue team right now

confused?
While my Dr said I was the one in pain and the one starving during fluids and mushies, the weight that I lost I didn't truely get credit for. It wasn't as if it was me and my band working together. A lot of it is water weight and differant people have differant amounts to loose. Once your swelling is down and your own reg foods then its up to you to attempt to control the scale till you get your fills. I've lost and gained and won't get my first fill till next Mondat so right now I'm just doing my best to adjust to 4 ouces 3 - 4 times a day. I keep wishing the scale moved faster and even have to remind myself I was told if I wanted to loose overnight this was the wrong surgery. Hang in there it happens. I'm seeing the scales move a bit and now I feel like I can take a little credit for it. I can't wait till its me and my band working together. I had a lot of water weight and once it was lost the scales froze. I think I would have rather seen it come off slow that 20lbs to gaining some back. Bandster Hell is so appropriate.

Really Need Your Advice
Thursday for dinner I decided to try low fat hot dogs with slaw, I felt kind of crappy after I ate but it wasn't horrid. During the night I woke up a few times with my stomach hurting, since then it hasn't stopped hurting. I haven't done any exercise other than a super short speed walk which I really wasn't up to since I ate the weiner and slaw. I know people say cabbage can be very gaseous but this seems more. I was banded 1/23/09 and am 8 days from my first fill. My port area feels fine when I touch, theres no pain. The pain comes from taking deep breaths and swallowing along with the occasional discomfort that comes and goes pretty fast. I should add I am lousy at getting rid of gas, I burp internally, it doesn't make its wait out just like a hiccup but its a burp that doesn't make it above the start of neck if it gets that far. Those are painful more so now than before when I talked to my dr about them. He said air got trapped behind and would eventually disapate. My drs in surgery on Mondays, I want to believe this is gas and I should never eat weiners or slaw again. Just looking for opinions. Thanks in advance

True but is eating protein last good advice to give when your showing people working out 6 hours a day and more at high levels of intensity?

Son't get me wrong I really look forward to watching the show each week but theres something else that bugs me. I've looked for seaon one episodes and can't find them anywhere. Every show good or bad is now on dvd but now bl. Could it be that they want people to forget, was that one winner who put it all back on? Pennies worth

A couple of weeks ago Bob gave a meal tip and I realized how differant we banders are from the people Bob was talking to. He said to start by eating the lowest calorie count foods at meal time such as your salad then something else and the meat last. It seems so unhealthy to eat in that manor to me. Granted I drink additional protein but trying to cut out my main course and typically the protein just didn't make sense for me or anyone else but I'm sure it makes sense to someone.......

They show pics of him in bibs weeding the garden or something and doing other things but they never show anything that looks like it could have been taken after his wls, lets face it the odds of having rny and not loosing a pound are low, yet he says hes proof it doesn't work. Looks like to me he just at to many pieces of pizza and gained whatever he might have lost right back. Sorry about the caps but i can't see well enough right now i promise i'm not yelling at anyone. I just hate the thought of beong lumped in with him, and we wonder why people are so negative about wls. What about tbl winners who gained all their weight back, notice they never mention them grrrrrrrrr

Michelle cried and wanted to go home the first 1/3 of it or close to it then bam she snapped out of it and went for the win. Ali isn't as fresh in my mind so I'm scared I might confuse her with one of the others from her season. I made the mistake of looking at the clock when it was time for Mike to go up and knew there wasn't enough time for them to vote off 2 players so I'm telling DH he has to obviously makes it when DH says no it will be continued. I was pissed. Each week the show something in the previews for the next week, we knew the black team had won the challenge and gave something great to the blue girl whos name I can't think of now. We should have known when we never saw Sione loose it on Jillian that it would be a ....to be continued. I can't wait to hear him go off on Jillian, not because I think she failed him but as someone over weight I know I have blamed everything under the sun when I didn't loose what I thought I should. I'm surprised I have a working set of scales in my house LOL temper temper. I'm guessing where Sione didn't pull his weight that is what sets him off especially if poor Mike doesn't pull that 10. While I think they have great trainers, equipment and other things there to help them, ultimately its like us and the band. We choose to make the band work or not work for us, not anyone else. (unless your one of the few who had band problems and had to have it removed, beyond your control). Guess I need to get off my rear and call and schedule my fill then get busy exercising before I've eaten my foot

Sometimes I forget its a game and they are thinking about 1/4 of a million dollars, when I think this way they did send the biggest threat on the blue team home. Kristen hangs in there tight but shes be so near the yellow on most weeks. I wanted dad home and felt bad when the son said he'd loose it if his dad went but I have 5 sons and if you don't let them fly away they become true mams boys and I don't see how thats a good thing. Maybe I'm mean but I was thinking dads lost a lot of weight bad knees and all but maybe he could have some additional surgery now. Not really sure whats available after a RNY. I'm just really sick of listening to him whine. Now that blue lost the strongest player they most likey will see dad and one of the original yellows below tomorrow night. I know that most of blue came in with the dad but geeze if he brings them down 1/10 as much as he does me he would have been gone weeks ago..............theres my 2 cents worth, feel free to keep the change

Protein Bullets 42 grams protein in 3 fl oz
I like the Atkins Advantage vanilla hubby likes chocolate. If your doing them for protein you might want to consider the bullets, they come out cheaper. I mostly used the shakes pre surgery when 11 ounces was a walk in the park. The cheapest place I found them was Sams Club. Good Luck!!

Protein Bullets 42 grams protein in 3 fl oz
I'm on full foods now so where I split the bullet, half in the morning half at night, with my chicken or seafood I am getting minimum 70's carbs. I keep some around that I bought pre op. I think I remember drinking one when I didn't want to eat out. I'm one of the weird ones I like the protein shakes I use but they are a bit much for me to drink now, 11 ounces is a lot at one time.

When I went for my one month check up my dr said I had lost 20 since surgery but in his eyes it didn't count. Yes I was the one who starved but thats not the reason behind the bad or the way it will work in the future. I was even bummed out since I had actually gained back a few pounds so even though the numbers looked good to him I knew better. He said that once I was on full foods then I got credit for what I lost, it was portion control and proper choices with the bands help. Well my appt was tues and wed we had to run out of town to take care of one of the kids who was pretty sick. I was scared to death about food choices, its a college town and it seems so much is fried foods. We took the other kids out to eat for seafood which I haven never cared for but I ordered maui maui which wasn't bad but was bland, I tasted the sampler plate didn't care for lobster without butter but loved the crab legs. My DH and I dixcovered we could eat there together for under 30 not counting the tip and both be happy. Long story short, to my surprise when I got home and weighed last noght I had lost again the scales moved in the right direction. You have to remember for some reason 4 ounces is all I can eat, I haven't had a fill yet and don't have one scheduled, I keep thinking its this new generation band, but whatever it is, in my head or whatever I feel restriction. I did get some unusual exercise while we were there and I'm sure that helped but seeing the scale go in the right way was a very emotional time last night. I think I had differant ideas of what this woud be like as well, I don't feel anymore like I'm truely dieting for me its portion control and I don't have to feel hungry according to my dr as long as I'm not eating around the band and having a rediculous amount of smaller meals a day everythings cool. I have a feeling we are all in for an interesting ride from here on out with its ups and downs. I'm glad I have you all to share with XOXOXOXOXO
