Holiday Weekend Checkin
I love holiday weekends because I love barbecue and I eat all the barbecue protein that I want and I make my own side. It's a win-win with this journey is really not deprivation or depriving yourself. It's find a new ways to eat the things that you love in a different way.

Falling off the wagon August 2025
@ShoppGirl so true. I eat on the abstinence model because I have a food addiction... so I haven't had bread cookies, cakes, pasta, refined sugars since surgery and now that I think back I was never full eating those things like pasta, etc. it was like I was a bottomless pit empty calories for me so you are sooo right...always starving

Falling off the wagon August 2025
Sadly and boringly it's getting back to the basics getting back to what you know is tried and true. This journey is hellish those easy things that we like to eat are considered slider foods and slider foods do not fill us up and you end up eating more then you should. I learned from a dietitian that when you want to snack just snack on real foods real protein rich foods, go ahead and eat that healthy extra protein meal. Our stomach is already small. It's not gonna hurt you eat a little extra when feeling hungry. To not fill up on slider foods like chips, cookies, and **** that are basically no fillers.

Alcohol 🍷 To Drink or Not to Drink! Is the question
I believe you it's scary like I already think I have a transfer addiction of maybe spending too much money or traveling. I just don't need to add alcohol to the addictions that I already have. Thanks. I am so glad that you are sober two years alcoholism or the overconsumption of alcohol makes gaining weight come quick...I would be f**king pissed off if I gain all the way back that I have lost I worked so hard for it.

Thanks all I am scared as hell of addiction. I already have a food addiction and binge eating disorder. I definitely don't need to be having any other addictions. 😩😂

Before Surgery Advice
My mother had my ass up and walking right after surgery. I had no downtime and I have been walking and exercising ever since everybody's journey seems to be different and I hope that you have no complications. The device that helped me the most and I still have it is like having a blanket when your newborn is my binder the binder that you put around the stomach is so awesome. It holds you in tight and it makes the pain less. Stay in touch

Alcohol 🍷 To Drink or Not to Drink! Is the question
I want to know how everyone navigated alcohol? I'm not a big alcohol drinker, but I'm trying to figure out, How is it that I want to live my life .....do I want to live my life with a strict abstinence model where I don't enjoy a cocktail; I don't get to enjoy the drinks that I used to like in the past. Do you all save alcohol for special occasions? did you all just quit drinking cold turkey? I haven't had alcohol since my surgery over a year and a half ago. Interested to see how you all approached it!

Report Your WINS ..What is your today's win???
My birthday weekend the Win: enjoying eating out without thinking it's over! I credit a lot of my weight loss success ...really rapid weight loss to eating Whole Foods, meal prepping, and for the past year and about two or three months, I didn't eat out at any restaurant. Well, I said I don't know if I can live like that the rest of my life so let me try to eat out....so I went to pluckers, pluckers has five wings on the menu. I love it. You don't have to get 10 wings. I still have a food addiction/binge eating habits. I still follow the abstinence model in eating. I don't eat any bread, white sugar, cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I still have to be strict but I said I'm gonna eat these damn wings.

All aboard the TRAIN to Medellin Colombia for Plastics
@AmberFL thanks for this it's very helpful! Girl I'm over her cussing saying ?to myself that I am not getting no other work done ?. I think I mean it to. He done a phenomenal job with the auxiliary fat removal and my breast, but I'm like over it! We shall see what goes on in the weeks to come.

All aboard the TRAIN to Medellin Colombia for Plastics
I think I'm going through what they call postop blues or postop depression. This is week three and my left side, which was my smaller boob and smaller side is perfectly fine but the right side where he had to manipulate it more and do my under arm fat is giving me hell. Well, I guess one good thing is I'm not turning to food. In fact I really don't feel like eating and it's really bumming me out. I think because I can't really work out and do the things that I normally do around the house, I think that's what it really is. It's annoying the **** out of me to be honest. And I really also hadn't had any surgeries in my life that requires a lot of downtime so this is new for me as well. With my bariatric sleeve hell I was up walking in the very next day. I think I walked like 3 miles and I walked pretty much every day ever since then and that was a year and a half ago so yeah.

@ItsMe83! drinking liquids the way I want to is something I still grieve I still mourn being able to guzzle down all the liquids. Now my life consist of eating and setting 30 minute timers to drink, and then not even really enjoying the drink as before. ??. So yes you are winning lol

All aboard the TRAIN to Medellin Colombia for Plastics
So I've noticed a lot of things about Colombia that I want to document since I've been here and I'm still here recuperating. I am at a higher altitude very mountainous region and I've noticed that my pouch feels better here. I do not get that some days restrictive some days non-restrictive feeling. I have not experienced any of the bloating/acid reflux and discomfort. I'm southern so I'm big on seasoning. I've noticed that they focus more on high-quality foods with less emphasis on seasoning. Their bananas are not as sweet. Their food is not as salty and sweet as our food and I think it plays a big difference in diet and a lot of things I will take away from here and try to apply back home. So via research it's stating that their food is less inflammatory and more natural than ours and it makes a lot of sense. A lot of their food are locally grown. Makes a huge difference! The U.S really does us a disservice by how food is mass grown and GMO produced.
