  1. During my bariatric journey and I'm only one year postop I have learned that I do not force food in if I'm not hungry. I just don't eat. hunger fluctuates during the month one week I'm ravenous, one week I can eat OK, one week I cannot eat it's just I don't force it, but I think it's different strokes for different folks. I have heard people go back to some Hardy bone broths which are always yummy during those times.
  2. @BlondePatriotInCDA your husband needs to go in time out! ???....no segxy time. He supposed to climb Mount Everest for you ???
  3. @AmberFL the breast augmentation, The breast lift, and the skin correction is only 6.5k. My keloid removal on my ear is about US$230 but the ultra reformer for the neck and the teeth whitening, I need to decide who I wanna go with but everything is affordable girl just Google! You would be surprised and the level of work is outstanding. The top places I believe is bogota and Medellin all the women are stacked, beautiful TITTS, ass, lip injections: Everything is just beautifully done. It's the aesthetic and plastic surgery capital. Get this if you so choose the nurses to come to your AirBNB like I'm doing to care for you since it's an outpatient procedure it's only 4usd per hour! Where in the hell in the U.S are you paying someone 4usd per hour for care. They are big on recovery Homes if you want to stay in one of those or they have nurses if you choose to do Airbnb's or hotels, big on quality care.
  4. @AmberFL 8.5k! I will take an additional 1k to play around with I want to get my teeth whitened, I'm getting a keloid removed, I also want to get the Ultra Reformer III treatment on my neck. (Maybe Botox) all that weight lost my neck needs treatment it's does not look bad but it has to be done. I'm getting all Things it would cost an arm and a leg here to do.
  5. @summerseeker I hollered laughing ???. I thought I was the only one who lied to some people I tell them "oh yea I get up and walk 5 miles everyday" that's how I done it ???. Please get out of my face nosy judgy people
  6. Welp, I turned one year post op VSG this month. I am very proud of my success. Every day was hard, every day continues to be hard, but my gift to myself is a boob job. I will be getting my boobs done , lift and also skin correction to correct that hanging bra fat under the armpit area. I hate that noise. It just flaps around ? but it's a testament to all my hard work. I will be going to Medellin Colombia. My surgery is on June 10. I will arrive on June 7 and I'm looking forward to seeing the sites being on the lighter side I'll be able to walk up those Flights of steps at Guatape ?. Look at all those damn steps on the pic ? *Colombian doctors are very, very skilled very talented. Looking forward to sharing my experience so other people can afford and have the courage to go abroad. * I would have liked to support our plastic surgeons here in the U.S but it's ridiculously priced. I went to one to get a quote and the surgery itself was only 5000 but 15+ thousand was for hospital fees , etc. that is ridiculous. The United States really needs to work on their cost. Colombia offers high levels of care due to the vast amounts of medical tourism and have high quality standards.
  7. I didn't tell any family members or friends as you know they can be the most negative and there is also that hint of envy and jealousy. As far as being the easy way out please dealing with a lifelong battle of obesity. This surgery is the best thing that you could've done for yourself to combat this horrible disease! congratulations! I am one year postop VSG so any questions any concerns we are always around. when people say it's the easy way out they really don't understand the complexity of the disease of obesity. The disease of obesity is complex, its metabolic, chronic and systemic and it gives no fucks. It's also a very smart disease. When you try to lose weight on you own without the tool of surgery, your body always fights you and then we play this game of lose gain lose lose gain. Obesity hates to see you win. Enjoy this new life its very hard yet very rewarding . Every day is hard. And No one deserves to know to hell with them lol
  8. @Lilia_90 damn you guys ate very well love this! It's great you can share food with your husband my poor restrictive pouch. It keeps me from wanting to eat out. I also miss those experiences. I eat four or five bites on for this damn restrictive pouch, but I'm grateful. My mouth is watering that good looks good!
  9. I am sorry to hear this and we are here for support. A lot of times weight loss surgery may not affect the relationship, but I will say weight loss surgery does change us in many aspects. We are not the same people that we once were we evolve, we grow and have different outlooks on life. We have mindset shifts. Sadly, sometimes we outgrow people. We have different things that we want that we did not want prior to surgery, so I don't know a lot of factors can go into these relationship that we have with significant others and other people, I find that after the weight loss surgery my whole dynamic of who I want for a partner has changed. Bariatric life is hard and the work that we do is really really hard allow your self time and grace and then realize that you're a bad ass and that you're gonna hold your head up high and continue on. I am sending you light during this transition. ❤️
  10. Ahhhhh okay thanks for this!
  11. @AmberFL I would but I noticed with bariatric pal it will not let you delete pictures and **** that you upload. Ion like all that they need to fix that!
  12. Win: Today is my one year SERGERVERSARY! I did that ****. The work is hard but I done it and look great!!
  13. You can definitely do it. We are here for support. Unfortunately, this obesity is a lifelong disease that we have to fight and battle. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. We have to reduce eating the things we love we have to incorporate movement. It's a lot of things it takes a lot of work. Glad to see that you're getting back on track sometimes we have to do a reset and get back to the basics of what helped us lose in the first place. It's not fun, but it has to be done.
  14. @AmberFL okay thanks... people were saying different things they were like oh the silicone inserts were not like the real size they actually are now after swelling subsided...but your saying yours was pretty close match, so that's good and I'm glad you got what you wanted! did you do high profile or moderate? I know for sure I'm going with the moderate PLUS. I've been walking around doing the rice test at home. ? so my plan is to put in the silicone inserts and just see what I like and go from there. It will be what it's gonna be.
  15. So question do the implants settle to look smaller? I am so up in the air about the size they're saying you know when they put it under the muscle it will look smaller so I might wanna go bigger. I can pull my hair out. I'm gonna be livid as **** if it looks like I didn't even get anything done.
  16. @AmberFL love this for you! Major WIN. Thanks for getting on the fasting train with me. I've been fasting the past 10 months now and it has changed me in a lot of ways. I tell people my favorite part of my day is my fasted part of my day and they look at me crazy. Yes I agree with you. It cuts down that food noise by a ton but I guess I'm still in a honeymoon phase because I have minimal food noise hallelujah? almost a year out thank goodness I'm gonna hate when that returns. Keep winning chic!
  17. So this forum is like my grief journal.. I grieve my normal way of eating. Everything I eat now feels me up quickly. It's like a favorite boyfriend that you broke up with and every new person that you meet afterwards just doesn't measure up. ?. The obesity battle.
  18. @Judes76 wow awesome! So happy to have you here. I hope that this journey is a smooth one for you. There is a lot of people on this forum with a lot of experience I am so glad that you were able to move. I understand depression very much. Your Movement is a major win ?
  19. Sharing this win...I have spent all of my life in an obese body OK obesity is something that's deeply embedded in my DNA (genetic, systemic, chronic, multifaceted). I have spent quite a while in a 3 XL and 4 XL US sizes. My mother was able to purchase me a sleep wear set from Marshalls in a size Large. I have not seen a f**king large in forever! Drops the mic and walks away. This journey is hard as hell, but every day is worth it.
  20. Which protein wraps are these? OMG looks delicious. I am such a foodie. I'm a bariatric foodie now, though, but still love it.
  21. @GreenTealael damnnnn looks good!
  22. Thanks nice!! well I'm sure the Hubs loves them and glad you are healing well. I hope you are enjoying them. I guess I have to look at it like we have our entire life to work out! Well my girls will be small 240 to 260 CC which is like a full C cup. I have a natural stripper body and It will fit well hahahaha. I'm so looking forward to this lift and augment! I'm really looking forward to bathing suits. I always wanted those bathing suits that drifted far down in the front. I never had any titties to fill them out. Hahaha
  23. Hey @AmberFL could you please explain what was the movement guidelines after surgery. Can you do a light walk or is it no movement after breast augment ? in June when I get mine done I'm going to go crazy as hell with no movement. how long does it take for your breast to settle like do they stay up a lot and then go down and when do you move to your cute bras? Lol thanks
  24. @ShoppGirl I have never tried the plain ones! I am so not a plain girl....I need a little razzle dazzle on all my foods. So far this one and the I Southwest salsa are good.
