  1. Welp, I turned one year post op VSG this month. I am very proud of my success. Every day was hard, every day continues to be hard, but my gift to myself is a boob job. I will be getting my boobs done , lift and also skin correction to correct that hanging bra fat under the armpit area. I hate that noise. It just flaps around πŸ˜‚ but it's a testament to all my hard work. I will be going to Medellin Colombia. My surgery is on June 10. I will arrive on June 7 and I'm looking forward to seeing the sites being on the lighter side I'll be able to walk up those Flights of steps at Guatape 😐. Look at all those damn steps on the pic πŸ˜‚ *Colombian doctors are very, very skilled very talented. Looking forward to sharing my experience so other people can afford and have the courage to go abroad. * I would have liked to support our plastic surgeons here in the U.S but it's ridiculously priced. I went to one to get a quote and the surgery itself was only 5000 but 15+ thousand was for hospital fees , etc. that is ridiculous. The United States really needs to work on their cost. Colombia offers high levels of care due to the vast amounts of medical tourism and have high quality standards.
  2. sooooooooo I'm here and I done a thing I made it up all these damn steps at 313 pounds I could never even attempt to climb this! That's a MAJOR win. (View from the top is the third pic).

Report Your WINS ..What is your today's win??πŸ₯‡

@NeonRaven8919 I love that for you you will definitely be able to fit in that dress soon enough show us some pictures once it does! @Dub your winning. @NeonRaven8919As far as the scale goes, I'm a year and two months postop. I've never owned a scale. I still don't own a scale. It's not good for my poor mental health and as a woman we have too many hormonal changes, bloating, cycles, menopause, perimenopause, water retention it's just not a good indicator of your progress. Your metabolic wellness is your best indicator of the progress that you're making.
  4. Hey everyone everyday is a Win..in the baratric world we know everyday we have to either get fluids in, eat enough protein etc, ...what is your win for today? My Win is being consistent on my bariatric journey and movement, I have made it a goal to move almost daily!

Report Your WINS ..What is your today's win??πŸ₯‡

@ms.sss I love that! That's awesome... yeah In other groups I'm part of people talk about not wanting to be identified as this WLS "patient" they feel that they have always been someone else ..that is not their whole being so I love that you go chick! This f**king journey is hard as hell I commend anybody who gets through this journey successfully so if you can get through this journey. You can Get through anything that includes tackling regain if you have regain or you can do anything your mind sets out to do it's hard it requires that much discipline so if you can be disciplined in this, you could be disciplined in anything.

A few new wins! I just bought a size 8 🀣🀣. Like WTF I was not a 8 even at my smallest. Also I have been able to jog 3 to 4 miles without stopping. It took me a year but I finally unlocked that power and I credit strength training/weight lifting it helped me with endurance and strength to run long distance! Major wins !

    Accountability Post

@AmberFL this is awesome Amber! So happy that you were able to reset! The most greatest thing is our TOOL, we will always have it and it's will work for us as long as we work WITH IT. I will be looking forward to your updates.
  14. It felt like it took forever. I just sent over my blood work to them today. I love my PCP, she did the blood work order. Most PCPs won't do it if they know you're going out of the country but She was like I understand People have to do what they have to do. my things are already packed and ready to go. I'm more excited about the bra fat area;the armpit fat then I am my breast. When I sit down or lay down it flaps around like a loud clap, I hate it. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I guess if you go from 313 to 180 gotta be some Shi% hanging.
  15. Omg this date is growing closer and im Getting excited I have had a whirlwind of emotions mourning my very very asymmetrical breast that's been with me all my life and then looking forward to the new breast then back to grief, mourning, tears it's crazy....giving very much rollercoaster πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    Getting Back on Track

@MrBeeswax I feel that no matter which surgery you receive when we suffer from the disease of obesity and we detour from eating properly then we're gonna experience weight gain. Obesity bodies are different than regular bodies who metabolize food normally. We who suffer from obesity have a metabolic disease, so when we get surgery and start back creeping in those "comfort and emotional eating foods" that we KNOW our body loves to store FAT with such as chips, cakes, cookies, unhealthy CARBS, refined sugars, just SUGARs period in access then we're gonna regain unfortunately we have a horrible disease that requires very proper planning for success. I lost a lot of weight really fast with VSG and I credit my success to 1.Meal prepping for success 2. Being organized 3. Movement. i honestly don't think the type of surgery matters. its that HAND TO MOUTH MOVEMENT what are we putting in our mouths πŸ˜‚

    Accountability Post

I attend a lot of high-quality bariatric groups and I like to take bits and pieces from what everybody has expressed and apply what's useful. Some group members have felt the same way as you and they expressed that they got back on track by naming the feeling, doing a reset, and getting back to the basics. You are doing fine and will continue to be great. So basically a lot of mind work is involved in this Journey. 1. What am I feeling? There is a feelings wheel and a feelings app to help you name your feelings. 2. Is this head Hunger, emotional hunger, or do I really need to eat ? 3. Well, I can't seem to get past this hump do I need further assistance from a therapist, etc. People with kids and spouses stated that they make them keep their foods in a separate bin in separate drawers, or up on a higher shelf where it's not at their eye level. I understand that when there are other people in the home it's harder because they do not eat the same as you. I can't sugarcoat it. This **** is hard but I know you will conquer this feeling.

It’s that time of the month and bloating

During my bariatric journey and I'm only one year postop I have learned that I do not force food in if I'm not hungry. I just don't eat. hunger fluctuates during the month one week I'm ravenous, one week I can eat OK, one week I cannot eat it's just I don't force it, but I think it's different strokes for different folks. I have heard people go back to some Hardy bone broths which are always yummy during those times.
  22. @BlondePatriotInCDA your husband needs to go in time out! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚....no segxy time. He supposed to climb Mount Everest for you πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  23. @AmberFL the breast augmentation, The breast lift, and the skin correction is only 6.5k. My keloid removal on my ear is about US$230 but the ultra reformer for the neck and the teeth whitening, I need to decide who I wanna go with but everything is affordable girl just Google! You would be surprised and the level of work is outstanding. The top places I believe is bogota and Medellin all the women are stacked, beautiful TITTS, ass, lip injections: Everything is just beautifully done. It's the aesthetic and plastic surgery capital. Get this if you so choose the nurses to come to your AirBNB like I'm doing to care for you since it's an outpatient procedure it's only 4usd per hour! Where in the hell in the U.S are you paying someone 4usd per hour for care. They are big on recovery Homes if you want to stay in one of those or they have nurses if you choose to do Airbnb's or hotels, big on quality care.
  24. @AmberFL 8.5k! I will take an additional 1k to play around with I want to get my teeth whitened, I'm getting a keloid removed, I also want to get the Ultra Reformer III treatment on my neck. (Maybe Botox) all that weight lost my neck needs treatment it's does not look bad but it has to be done. I'm getting all Things it would cost an arm and a leg here to do.
  25. @summerseeker I hollered laughing πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I thought I was the only one who lied to some people I tell them "oh yea I get up and walk 5 miles everyday" that's how I done it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Please get out of my face nosy judgy people
