  3. Hey Tiffany.... you look soooo good! I had the LapBand Nov. 26th and would like to ask you some questions since you've obviously been very successful with it! When you find the time... will you please email me at: bkbcatlett@sbcglobal.net

    Thanks so much!

  4. Well.... I'm sorry to hear you guys are going through this, however SO glad to hear that I'm not alone!! I'm 16 days post-op and I still have this excruciating left shoulder pain. Let me see, I've been on several pain meds, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatories.. I'm starting to feel like a junkie. I've tried massage therapy twice, my belly is great its the da** shoulder. I'm going broke with med costs and therapies and then of course, the pain is STILL there. The surgeon wanted me to go to the ER, where they told me it wasn't related to the surgery (not true) I went for my 2wk post op a little early b/c the pain was so bad. The surgeon says it is diaphragm pain and she promises it will NOT last forever. She says it is from inflammation? I cannot even dream of having to have another surgery, but then I'm 31 yrs old and this was supposed to make my life better quality.... not create chronic pain. I was reading some of your other posts, I too seem to have it worse in the late morning/early afternoons. Also, it does seem a little worse at times after I eat (or drink these days). I'll have to tell you its strange. 2 other girls I know from our small town had this done and never had shoulder pain at all. It's got me sooooo depressed. Not only am I not losing alot, I'm hungry and in so much pain. Any suggestions?:wink2:
  5. Ok..... this thread is reality but really makes me nervous I'm scheduled for Nov 26th (1 week from tomorrow!!), but I've wondered the same thing. I've seen first hand those who have had extreme success with LapBand and then I've also seen first hand those who lose more weight on their pre-op diet then they do after being banded. Whats the deal?? It makes me question my decision..... I hope I'm one that succeeds with it!! Best Wishes to the rest of ya, I'm SICK of the pre-op diet  LOL - 3 Slim Fast Optima per day & 1 protein shake... oh and ALL the fat free sugar free jello my heart can eat
