  1. Happy 32nd Birthday emialiaubri!

  2. Being tired day offer surgery is completely normal. I am 4 weeks out of surgery and still cannot lay on my side! ( and it's killing me) start on stage 2 today. Which is jello and protein shakes, water, soup broth clear liquids.
  3. I was banded for the 3rd time 4 weeks ago tomorrow, and I am still in a lot of pain. It feels like a lot of pulling and steer going from the inside. I still cannot sleep on my side, otherwise I pay for it the whole next day. Is this normal? Or has anyone else experienced this? I have had this surgery before, but i believe her repkaced my port this time ( not second surgery) and I don't remember this pain. Thanks!!!!
  4. I unfortunately was not able to be approved for gastric sleeving. So August 10th I went in for lapband revision. They did find a hernia. So I'm crossing my fingers that was my biggest problem, and now it's solved!!!!

    Hernia!?

Mystery pain explain. I went in for lapband revision and got a new band an a surprise hiatal hernia repaired. Now time to heal!!!!

    Hernia!?

What does a hernia feel like!? And do you get them around where your band is placed? In having some pretty intense pain around where my band is???
  7. I don't have money to self pay, otherwise that might be a consideration. And my insurance will only cover one bariatric procedure per life time. So yes 3rd band is better than no band. So let's see how this time goes. Thanks for the support.
  8. I an def the one to blame for my first slippage. I wasn't really mentally for it. I are and for sick and repeated. So honestly I failed that band. Bit this one is totally possible that he put it in wrong.
  9. Yes I have, I like him very much. Why do you ask?
  10. To make it worse this will be my THIRD band not second!!!!

    Here We Go Again................

I have had a band since oct 2008, no infection. Just slippage, again. I am going back in 2 weeks for another band. My insurance won't cover anything else :-(
  12. So my plan to revise to gastric sleeve failed. My insurance will not cover more than 1 bariatric surgery in my lifetime. So another band it is.

    Youngster Bandster??

i was 25 at my first surgery. i had lapband in 2008. it slipped by november 2010, was removed and replaced in january 2011. and here I am again with another slipped band. So along with the support of my dr i wil submit approval for a revision to the sleeve. i was 230 when i started. got down to about 140 and back up to 190......good luck, and i def dont think this is the place t be emarrased, the fact is you are doing something about it now!!!!
  14. So I met with my surgeon and we will submit paper work tomorrow hopefully for approval of revision from band to sleeve!! And he said he would only do it in one surgery!!!!
  15. This is my second band. First was a slippage, then re banded. This one is not correctly positioned. So surgery #4 it is. Am interested in gastric sleeve since lapband has failed me 2x.... Anyone have same issue?
