Best shoes for walking

I wear the slip on skechers! I weight lift, run, walk, stair step all the things in them and they are great! I am thinking of trying Hoka or Brooks but those are an investment lol -
Summers Lookin’ a little different
AmberFL replied to AmberFL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you!! I am feeling pretty damn good! NO more aches and pains, no more being too tired to get through the day, cant wait to hear and see your progress!! ❤️ -
So after my post last week where I was .4 away from my goal, I am not 1.2lb UNDER my goal! So I am working on my macros to see what caloric threshold I should hit to stay around the same. Last week I was eating around 1100-1200calories and I still lost weight. Gonna stay around the 1200-1300 mark. Any input on this aspect would be great! I’m still working out 6 days a week (been an addiction lol) Last week my sisters, mom and I had a spa day, laid by the pool with drinks after our massages and I couldn’t believe the difference in how I looked between the summers! The drink in my hand is coconut mojito mocktail that was delicious but too sugary I had a couple sips because I didn’t want to 💩 everywhere 😂

I mean, at this point I give up trying to figure it out...
AmberFL replied to SleeveToBypass2023's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just a thought whilst reading through others comments. I know you said that carbs are hard to increase, however I think that is the culprit. I work out 6days a week and I am closer to 80g of carbs and 30 ish g of fat most days. You don't have to eat bread but fruits, and veggies have carbs. I am not saying goes balls to the wall, but if your working out then 1800 cal is not cutting it. My BMR to maintain is close to 2500 calories, I eat about 1500 cal right now just because I cannot physically eat that much. I checked to see how many calories I need to gain weight and I would need to consume 3300 calories a day! I am not saying stuff yourself, but eating every 1/5-2hrs will be beneficial- add granola to your yogurt, protein bar right after working out, eat some peanut butter balls with oatmeal, maple syrup, caco nibs or chocolate chips, add cottage cheese to eggs with a handful of spinach. Beefing up your meals will help you feel better. Maybe you know all this but just my two cents -
I use I can't believe its not spray butter like on everything LOL maybe you can do something with that?

I mean, at this point I give up trying to figure it out...
AmberFL replied to SleeveToBypass2023's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have no where near the same amount post op but I am finding if I eat more I still lose. If I don't eat as much I lose, I upped my carbs as well. Nothing. I am so thin...I feel like I can I wash my laundry on my ribs. I am in the same boat. I am not trying to actively trying to lose more I am trying to maintain but I just wanted to say solidary girl. I hope you find your answers and feel and look the way you want! ❤️ -
Let me preface by saying I wash my hair 1x a week, I do bleach my hair (have been for yearssss), I eat over 100g of protein per day, take all my vitamins daily even extra biotin which has helped ( I think if not my lashes are longer) lol I did change my shampoo to Oplalex 2months ago, which after I looked it up had a law suit from women saying the product caused hair loss? My hair does shed and has since surgery but nothing crazy. I had my surgery about 4 months ago, and yesterday a very alarming amount of hair come out yesterday! I had my hair up in a bun didn't brush it, pure laziness on my part, but when I took it down and brushed my hair a ton came out...figured okay probably because of not washing my hair yet and not brushing/ putting it in a bun. After I brushed my hair and braided it because I took the kids swimming. Came home and washed my hair and put a hair mask in my hair which I do every week. And HOLY ISH! So much more hair! I yelled for my boyfriend and he was even taken back with how much it was. I am not sure if I need to prepare for the worst or if THAT WAS THE WORST. I brushed my this morning and the normal amount came out. Am I going to go bald?!

Need help with diet after post surgery weight gain!!!!!
AmberFL replied to Panda333's topic in Food and Nutrition
Go back to the basics! Prioritize protein, cut out sugar, stick to 140g total carbs, 40g fat. Meal Prep and go for daily walks Its doable!! You got this! This is my diet at 7months post op with an 1hr + of exercise 6x a week (exercise is 30min weight lifting and 30-45min cardio) Wake up: Café latte premier protein and decaf cold brew Breakfast: egg whites, Jennie o turkey sausage, cheese and Pico de Gallo Snack: fruit and mini jerky stick or popcorn (lesserevil brand only 50cal low carb and has some protein) Lunch: usually a salad with pasta, veggies, some crunch (wonton strips, crispy onions, croutons) dressing is homemade (Greek yogurt, hidden valley ranch dry mix, fat free Italian dressing to thin it out) snack: Oikos or Dannon Light and Fit yogurt with granola Dinner: I get fancy- last night I had an Egglife wrap put 2TSP of pest on it, 3oz grilled chicken, 10g of reduced fat mozzarella cheese, 1 tlbs of picked jalapeno, 1 tbls of red onion and 10g of shredded Parmesan cheese Dessert: a couple of yasso popples, or Ill have a few bites of my hubbys ben and jerrys (lol) This is my normal day to day with variations but I usually end up with about 130+ of Protein, under 90g carbs and under 50g of fat. I am not perfect at all but meal prepping really really helps my week be successful. I also track every single thing (bad or good) in Netdiary and I pre-track my day the night before or the morning of, this allows me to see what I have going on and if I decide to eat a piece of sugar free chocolate or make myself an iced coffee with sugar free creamer, I can see if my macros fit it. Lately I have been going over but I am still losing weight. I have surpassed my goal weight and am still losing- lot slower- so I am trying to figure out how to eat a bit more so I can maintain. I love this journey and am having so much fun with it (crazy I know) but I am an open book and am happy to help with meal plans, meal prep and exercises! -
I used to be a DD and now I don't even need a bra. Tried on some and even the cup size A had room...I am getting breast augmentation in January, but its depressing...okay just needed to say that.

omg I sent my bestie a pic of me in a bralette trying to make cleavage with the same face LOL I so know how you feel, so happy you lost weight but so sad all the assets are gone
-
you cannot taste them imo, they are more of a texture thing and thickens up the overnight oats. They are very notorious tho!

I may have to get padded bra to just feel like a woman, Its all in my head. My body has changed so much that I can't lie I am kinda freaking out lol I am muscular, a size 4, small top, my butt is flatter and its taking an act of God with workouts to just make it look like there is something there and my boobs are just gone. So I am not feeling super sexy. I have to wait a year and honestly I am only waiting a year because my surgeon highly encouraged it. I would've gotten my boobs done like yesterday. Then got a revision a few years down the road if needed.
-
they/you look fabulous!! yes I have been told that as well, a full C might look nice, I havent tried anything on yet since I still have time. I just want them up and not saggy LOL I want them to be full, so if that means a C okay but I want to have boobs again! not because I am obese boobs but actual nice boobies before I had kids haha
-
he did great! My surgeon is similar he said do the rice test so you can see about the diameter, then asked what size I would like. I told him a full D or DD but I dont want to look like I got a boob job because it looks too fake. He said he thinks that would be a good size. I am also 5 '9 so I am a bigger woman anyways LOL
-
I wish I had your confidence! I cover myself when I change in front of my hubby. Even though he keeps telling me to stop, when I had children my boobs were full then breastfeeding two kids for over a year each...ya they were goners LOL!!
-
They look GREAT!!!! YOU look great!!! okay, my band is 38 even though I am size small, just big boned I suppose lol. Did they have you do the "rice test" I haven't done mine yet since I am not getting it done until Jan
-
I have tried and my boobs are just empty skin sacs 😭 nothing can help them. Ugh I get smaller and now I look saggy. I was big and looked rolly. Cannot win!
-
I am doing a lift/augmentation as well with gummy bear implants under the muscle. How big did the 375cc get you? I would like to get to a full D or DD. But my frame is small now that it might look ridiculous lol
-
Dang!!! well I blew passed my goal weight. I am now 167.8 which is not on purpose, I am trying to maintain, which I am sure my body will settle eventually.
-
I wish I could be honest too, he never saw my weight at my heaviest. Even when I was pregnant- I asked the doctor not to let him in until they were done weighing me and then when we went to the hospital on the day of my csection I covered the scale numbers and only let the nurse see. It wasn't until recently I told him I was 300lbs and he was shocked! I told him and that is why I did the surgery! I kept going up. So when your at the weight that you feel good you will tell him and he will probably be shocked LOL

NEVER thought I would be asking this
AmberFL replied to ShoppGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Keep doing what your doing girl!! I had the sleeve and I dropped 30lbs my first month post-op. I mean I am 7months and down 131lbs. Some of us just lose weight hella quick!! -
