i honestly feel the exact same way you do. i’ve lost 13 lbs so far and feel stuck the past couple days i’m in the same boat you’re not alone. we’ll get through it and lose more ! just got to trust the process 🤍

Especially when I go back to work. I don't want to try a soft food only to end up in the bathroom because my body didn't like it. I have a coworker who is a couple years post op and keeps shakes at work just to make sure she's getting her Protein.
That's my plan, anyway. 🙂
i had the same thought but i am so sick of shakes already lol (2 weeks post op)

My question is regarding the all liquid post op diet. My doctor has me on a clear liquid diet for the day after surgery and then I can switch to all liquids (like shakes) and I should stay on this all liquid diet for 2 weeks before starting on “Soft Foods”
I over bought my drinks for these two weeks.
My question is: Can I stay on the all liquid diet for another week or two before moving to soft foods? Is there any potential down side to that?
Thanks!
i know everyone’s experience may be different but my surgeon said to start the diet they have (liquid- purée-soft foods) for a reason to make sure your stomach can get used to working and digesting food progressively. you still drink Protein Shakes while doing this

mine was 14 too just push through as best as you can and remember before you know it it’ll be behind you and you’ll be on your way to your new future! it feels light years away at this point lol (im now a week out from surgery)

yes NYC

i’m home as well doing great minimal pain. starting to feel the discomfort of the largest incision, which they told me would happen, but it’s definitely tolerable. tried a sip of a shake yesterday it didn’t feel great so i’m going to try again today day 3.

i’ve had zero pain at the incision site just discomfort in my chest from gas pains and anesthesia but that mostly went away already thankfully!
small sipping Water, broth, and Decaf tea so far so good.
i’m so excited for everyone’s journey !

Once all goes well I don't mind after, as I am hoping that the results will show in a new look and lease on life for me. I just didn't want any negativity in advance as figure doing this on my own is enough to deal with.
I am like you, primarily for my health but I wouldn't mind if it gives me a bit more confidence in certain areas of my life and I feel more comfortable around others as at times I always just feel like the fat friend that no-one really considers or worse that they feel sorry for me.
i’m in the same boat i feel the same way as you both. my reason is for my health and everything else that comes with it is a nice bonus. just the confidence and comfortability will make my job much easier for me
@FifiLux i hope you gain all the confidence in the world! im sure your friends don’t feel that way about you but i understand where you’re coming from
