Hi Angie- Ya, I met with the surgeon at my first appointment. BUT it was an ALL day, 6 hour, appointment. He was my last stop. I guess that is just how my Dr. runs his office. How long have you been working on getting banded?

Hi...I just began the process this week. I've attended a 2 hour informational seminar, met with the exercise consultant, nutrition consultant, had my psych. eval and met with the surgeon. Lots of information to take in all at once. So my question for all of you new-B's...have you read all the stuff online and then met with the people involved and found out that the diets and what you can and can't eat don't match up to what you have read? Love to hear some feedback! Janiebean:thumbup:

I am in the exact same boat. No health problems...just fat! But I have a husband and 2 kids and I want to be around for them. Plus I LOVE to travel and with each pound it is harder and harder. We are having to pay out of pocket too (yikes). But it will be worth it...I know it will. Any discomfort will ease quickly and you will be healthier in the long run!
