I use Dr. Shing and love him. He has been my doc for the last two years. He placed my band and I had a number of complications with the band not agreeing with my body. He has been terrific. He is very down to earth and caring. All the doc's in the office are nice and accommadating. I am having the sleeve on April 26th. Have you started the process? -

I had the band in on 12-08, I lost 15lbs, I was in the hospital have surgical proccedures due to complication four different times in 2009. I am now set to have the band removed and the sleeve done on 4-26-10. I am very scared as I had so many complications with the band. I would not reccommend the band to anyone. -
5 weeks post op, flipped port fixed, first fill

Hello I drink Isopure also. I get the powder and I get it off e bay. 3lb 's is 40.00. I get chocolate and I love it taste like chocolate milk. Good Luck. -
I to have lost my focus. I joined Weight Watchers to track my weight loss and can not even stay on that program. I am so frustrated and upset but I can not get it back. I have lost a total of 40 lbs since Aug of 2008. I wish it were easier.

I am with you I feel very frustrated also. I was banded 12/28/08. My port flipped in the first week. Went back for my first fill and that is when they realized I needed a port revision. Had that done lost 4lbs. went to md Monday and gained 1lb. I have a 2cc fill. Not sure what else to do.

My port also flipped. I think the first day home after having the band placed. I felt it. I had the port revision and fill of 2cc. I went to doc yesterday and gained 1lb. I am so frustrated. I started exercising as told and I gained. I do not understand.

Three weeks post op and eating/weight gain

OMG I am 4 weeks post op. I had lost 8lbs in the first two weeks. I went back to doc today and gained 2lbs. What gives? I am eating way less than before and do not understand how I can be gaining weight. This is so frustrating. -

Hi I was banded on Dec. 29th. I drink the Isopure shakes and the help to fill you up. I was able to drink them during stage one. Good Luck. I does get better. -
I was also banded on 12/29/08. I find that if I keep on top of the protein shakes that I am not as hungry. I also drink water all day long. I cam not wait to have mushy foods. Who would have ever thought I'd be so happy about yogurt. Try not to eat before you are able to you would not want to damage the hard work you have done.

Hello I had my band on 12/29/08. I to am very hungry. I have to stay on clear liquids and can not have mushy foods until 1/13/09. I have cheated and had some cream of turkey soup. I do drink protein shakes 4 times a day a nd a lot of water. My question is that each doctor seems to have a different plan. Why? -
Getting Banded Monday

I to am getting banded Monday. My time is 730am. Today I am on liquids only. -
I also am going to Albany Medical Center Dr Singh. I am penciled in for December 29, 2008. I have 9lbs left to lose by 11/18/2008. I am excited but the last 9lbs don't want to come off. His office is terrific.
