  1. My hair was also falling out (in large amounts.) I was not taking a multi-vitamin and told the Dr. He suggested that I get the chewable multi-vitamins in which I did. It has been very helpful and I do not notice my hair falling out as much! Good luck!
  2. I have a question and was not sure where to post it. I have a sister, with whom I do not get along with very well....Well, over the weekend, she noticed for the first time, my weight loss. I had lap band surgery on Sept 2, 2008. To date, I have lost 62 lbs and still loosing. Once I told my sister the reason I was loosing weight, her response to me, was that I was just trying to "one up" her. My personal belief is that she is very nervous because I am almost the same size as her now, if not already smaller. But how rude to just think I am trying to "one up" her. Trust me, the reason I went ahead with the surgery had NOTHING to do with her. I need help getting through this. I did not prepare myself mentally for all the emotional things that come along with looking and feeling so much better! Any suggestions would be wonderful! Thanks for taking the time to listen!!!
  3. I also had surgery on 9/2. How awesome is that? I feel really great and I am walking and biking a lot already. I have lost 27 lbs. So we are close to the same. I too feel very full after eating only a very small amount and am very amazed at how full I get after such a little bit. Keep in touch. Its great to have someone that had surgery the exact same day I did!!!

  6. Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 28 years old and was just banded on September 2nd! I am the happiest I have been in a long time. I am finally seeing results (yes, already!!!!) and am limited on the amount of food that I am able to eat. Sometimes I really have to force myself to eat. It's hard. But I am still on the puree restrictions and will soon move to the mechanical soft part of the diet. I love to hear stories of success and what has worked for people and what has not. I am 507, and my starting weight was 290 lbs and at my 1 week check up I was down to 277. Not bad for the first week!!! I don't think. I look forward to hearing from everyone, and feel free to use me as a buddy support. My goal is to loose 100 lbs in a year. Is that realistic?
  7. I think you are doing awesome! To loose 77 lbs in 5 months is really great!
