Hi Saundra! Im from Parkersburg and am going to be banded by Dr. Kaplan. My friend was banded by Dr. Shin last year. She is doing great!

A requested colonoscopy!!!!! Ooooooooooooo I had a required one around March....and it will take something tremendous for me to have to spend another day in the bathroom like that!!! Woooo......that stuff I had to drink was NASTY!!!

My BMI is right around yours and I've been worried that if I lost too much weight on the 6 mo diet that they wont approve me then. Hi Denise37 - Great Job on your weight loss!

Oooooooo. I will definetly have to work on finding the right amount of food to eat so I dont experience that.

Why do people slime?

The one I read yesterday said they had a drooling problem after eating a slice of turkey. And others replied and stated they'd had the same problem. But I've seen it on some of the boards. Some people call it sliming. ???

Hi Jennifer! My friend Becky and I should be having our surgery around January/February. We are still in the beginning stages of this. Its great to have support from someone whose going through this or has gone through this. Everyone has been really great and helpful. I've learned so much from everyone on here. Good Luck with your insurance!! I also have a ? for the ones who've been banded.....I was reading on the message boards about people drooling. ?? Why is that?

1. Im impatient as all get out........I cant stand to be in traffic, in line at the grocery store, waiting for delivery on a package, etc, etc. So the wait is KILLING ME. 2. Im so anxious to get the surgery it is literally consuming me. I live, eat, breathe and think of the lap band night and day. Its ridiculously insane. 3. Well............there is no 3. :tt2: I just want my CALL....im ready to get started on my 6 month pre-op diet!!!!!! Im ready to record my food & exercise. Im ready to be weighed on a regular basis. Im ready to be banded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well............I guess I shall go back to my lonely little desk and continue to wait on my call for the consultation. :sad: I know it has only been 3 days....but its been THREE LONG DAYS.........:thumbup:

Its time for change. Im SO ready for this. Im tired of being overweight....lacking energy, high blood pressure, GERD, hypertension, breathing problems... all of it. For so long it was easier for me to deny that this was contributed to my weight......but no longer. Im tired of it. Im tired of trying every weight loss pill, fad, diet and losing a few pounds only to gain more than what I've lost in the end. Now is the time for a permanent change. Im ready for this!!!! Today I went to the seminar with Bek. It pumped me up even more! Today was also the first day I have ever admitted my weight to anyone. I told Bek my weight....then I later posted it on my signature. I think the only reason I can do that and not totally freak about it...is because I know this will be the last time I have to look at numbers like that on the scale. From now on....its all down from there. Time for change....

After the seminar today - I am super pumped up and cant wait to get to my surgery date. Hopefully I will get approved thru BCBS...if not...I will seek other means of financing this. One way or another...Im doing this. I need this change in my life. Im tired of being overweight! Its time for a new beginning.

I cant wait for the seminar on Saturday!!!!
