ok so friday is my surgery day and i work but its only a cleaning job, i clean a church(my brother introduced me to it, i absolutely hate the job, but i need money to pay phone billy and stuff)on mondays and thursdays and what i need to do every monday i have to clean downstairs(my mom does upstairs) vaccum, sweep, mop, put chairs up, clean bathrooms, break boxes down and take trash out, and clean sunday school(mondays) and thursdays are the same except sunday school, so my question is since surgery is friday will i be ok enough to go on monday? theres alot of bending over and twisting but im gonna try to get my dad to hlep too. next is about my tongue ring. got it pierced dec 20 08(my 18th bday) im worried it'll close up. the surgeron said surgery is an hour and 15 mins. i can wear any jewelry not even a retainer. i hope i get up soon enough to put it back in when i get out of surgery. ok that really was a question but ok. this is however, im going shopping tomorrow for the clear liquids and any other things i'll need, what did you guys get for the clear liquids stage or full liquids? and anything else before and for surgery? i know i have a shopping list thread, but ahh i dont know! my clear liquid's list: chicken noodle ramen noodles (and of course im going to strain the noodles and whatever else is in the soup) Gas-X strips Gatorade G2 Diet Snapple ok but i think i only have to do clear liquids for the first day after surgery because on my list my nutritionist gave me of the progression of my diet it says first two weeks after surgery full liquids so i dont know i'll just get more of what i already have for surgery day, overnight stuff: shampoo & conditioner(cause im staying the night) soap tooth brush & tooth paste chapstick q-tips sports bra loose fitting clothes going to buy a new magazine the night before bringing my ipod, cell phone, and camera pillow my breathing tube they gave me all my papers brush glasses liquid tylenol i feel like im forgetting stuff, i have a heating pad and a cold pack but again if you have anything that was helpful please add it and what else did you guys get for your clear liquid and full liquid phase? i forgot the other questions i wanted to ask but if i think of any ill post them in here

I was fine day one, day 2 felt worse nauseated twice today, I have nausea medication but it's for every six hours, I feel like I got to vomit and I'm so scared, I took a nausea med around 6 I hate feeling like this, I want to cry ): nothing seems to help ease that feeling, I'm afraid to burp too afraid if I do that I'll vomit so scared I'm getting weak cause of being nauseated it truly sucks, help??

I'm calling my dr, the band feels too tight I'm trying to get that water down, I've been walking around the house a lot I lost 5 pounds since surgery I feel like I can't sit for long cause my stomach hurts it's day3 shouldn't it be going away by now? Ugh !

I need to take a shower I hate the hospital smell and I got the yellow stuff they use to sterylize you with blegh, I too only have a fee sips of Water ever hour, I think the back pain hurts and I have a little pain, I try to drink enough water but I feel like I'll make myself sick or something so you used a ice pack? Today is my second day, still have gas pains, did any of you use gasx on your second day? How were you feeling on day 3 when did your pains go away, any take a shower your second day? I want to take one but a lil afraid. When did you guys feel better and felt normal? How long did you walk? 5mins or more? The insicion on my chest hurts, feels like there is gas there, what can I do to make me feel better? Walking does help but kinda makes my stomach hurt ish

heating pad does help, yeah I've been walking around naps, day one was worse for me so far, my dr gave me something for nausea and gas should I put gauss pad on my insicions after I take a shower? What can I do to make sure I'm carefull when taking a shower? Yeah I was talking about around the house (: how long did it take to go #2? did you guys get thirsty? How do stay hydrated and be carefull? I wish today was Friday ahh so gasx didntt make your syomch upset?

not banded yet, july 31st is the surgery date but i just want to know ahead of time, i want to know some endurance and some aerobic exercises for inside and outside. and some strength and some resitance. sorry if this is a stupid thread but thanks =]

Got my surgery yeasturday and the gas pain hurt, when will they pass? I think its making my stomach hury i allso need to go to the bathe room but cant and sucks cause i kno itll make me feel beterAnd it's hard to even get out of Andcm it's hard to get ourvof the bed and what is the best way to lay/sleep?

the gasx doesn't upset your stomach? Was going to take one last night but I was afraid it would make me sick or something. I get up to walk every hour, when I need to go to the bathroom or when my back aches, I'm tired a lot and when I drink water it's good but I'm afraid ill drink more than what Im suppossdd to be, so I should take gasx? How was your second day of being banded?

I haven't ate anything since 8 this morning yesturday I had some sorbet a litle bit of beef broth some water my pain last night sucked, felt like I was going to puke after I took a pain med then the nurse gave me some med for vomitting. Under my insisions it hurts and ubove where my chest is also hurts. I haven't went #2 since Thursday night. The bigger incision hurts the most when I move or get up, I hope the gas will pass really soon, I'd say my pain is a 5. When will the pain go away, when did it go for you? And since today is just day one, will it be ok to take a stool softener?

I had surgery Friday, I was scared too everything went well, the gas pains aren't as bad as yesturday the first night was kinda bad but yesturday when I went home it felt the same, the first night at the hospital sucked cause I felt sick to my stomach cause I took a pain med then they gave me this nausea stuff and I felt better and it helped me sleep, but don't be nervous that makes things worse, you're doing the right thing, the gas part is the only thing that hurts but when it passes it'll feel so much better ah hope mine goes away soon good luck and don't be nervous (:

I feel so much better today, sometimes it feels weird when I breath deep but it feels good it's weird tho, my left side not near any insicion it hurts but i think that's part of the back pain, I slept with a heating pad it kinda helped, walking does help,,, I hope the pain goes away too, it kinds hurts more in the lower abdomen like when you need to go #2, I'm going totry some broth today maybe it'll help with the bathroom part thanks (:

I think the milk of magnesia was on the list, my lower abdomen is where it's hurting the most right now, I'll call later to make sure

he didn't suggest anything, it does hurt to cough, wish I could lay on my side, atleast it's not hurting as much to get up, I. Could sleep better on the recliner than my bed, only prob is that my back hurts. I am walking as much as I can, the gas pains come back when I go to sit, how many days did it take your pains go away or when did your incisions stop hurting as much? I hope I don't gag when I brush my teeth, I wish week one was over ):

I know but he's not gonna be in til monday but hopefully it's gone by then, what made you comfortable the first couple of days?

the gas pains are what's hurting, most of the gas pains are below the incisions mostly, I feel like I got burt but can't and I also need to go #2 but can't either and I know I'd feel 10 times better. Sometimes it hurts to take deep breaths but other than that I feel ok it's ok when I walk just hurts when getting up and I feel a little warm and just alittle uncomfortable ): can't wait for it to go away
