Yes, I have and they are having a Patient Representative contact the doctors office. Not sure I want to go back if I think they are mad at me and he is the only one in town.

Tricare says he is a network physician and cannot bal bill me but the doc office said she can because they are not contracted for bariatric surgery, tricare says they cant pick so I am waiting review. They did however say he may be submitting under a different tax ID # and then they can get away with balance billing

Tricare says the doc is wrong but I dont know.

According to my insurance Co.............the doc cannot bill me the difference. Its not like I want to argue with the person who is going to open me up, ya know??

I was approved by Tricare with no problems then the docs office called and told me that he charges $5000.00 for the surgery and insurance only pays $992.00 so he wants me to pay $4008.00????? I am insurance approved and now will not get my band because of this. I just cant believe it:mad2::smile2::mad2::wub::mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:

Yeah I was approved today and there were NO issues. Submitted to Tricare on 10/6 and got approval 10/09

Its official, I am approved and having my surgery 11/11. Thank you for all the well wishes getting me through that awful waiting and wondering period. I can finally get excited and know I wont be disappointed!

There was a time about 6 months ago that I would throw the idea out there during casual conversation and my Dh's response would be " oh you dont need that"..........when I brought it up seriously and told him I wanted it for me and to get me off diabetic medication he was totally supportive. Good luck but remember this is about you!

I was just denied the nutrionist appt and I too have to pay out of pocket for the physch eval, thankfully my total should only come to 300.00 dollars. I have found that there are extreme differences in the west and the south. The west is much more difficult!

Just got word that TRicare denied my consult with Nutritionist. Anyone else have this issue??? No word on the surgery yet.

What region are you in??? I hear that TriWest is harder to get approval. I submitted in the south region on Tuesday and have my fingers crossed!!

I have a surgery date of 11/11 and they are just now submitting to Tricare. No 6 month diet here
