Great Lakes Weight Loss
Great Lakes Weight Loss Center Hello: Has anyone been to or have knowledge of the Great Lakes Weight Loss Center? I've found their website and contacted them. It's located in Harper Professional Bldg. in Detroit & Rochester Hills Bldg in Rochester Hills, MI They have quoted me a price extremely comparable to where I'm scheduled in October. They've said I could be scheduled within 2-3 wks from now. Please let me know if you are able to provide any feedback. I'll keep checking to see if I can find it here. Thanks in advance, will post this in another forum as well.

Dr. Kirschenbaum in Colorado
I have been reading a lot on the Illinois forum and wanted to ask if anyone is familiar with an inexpensive fill doctor in the Chicago area. I made an appointment Dr. Kirschenbaum for 10/30 - haven't told DH we'll need to for this (got him to agree with surgery, not telling him the potential location):rolleyes2: Been on the phone trying to find a local and inexpensive fill doctor in Chicago - especially I'm being financed for surgery... I don't need to extra expense of trying to pay $500 for fills! Anyway, I'm excited and nervous all in one. Thanks for any responses.

Hello, I am very excited that I picked up the phone and made a surgery appt. with Dr. Kirschenbaum for 10/30. I don't need to extra expense of trying to pay $500 for fills! Anyway, I'm excited and nervous all in one. I am so appreciative of all of the info I have received on this forum.

Self-Pay Lapband....
Thanks everyone for chiming in with this info. I actually called Dr. K's office in Colorado today - sweet deal for sure & Natalie is so very nice. However, they don't accept Care Credit. I am trying to find a place closer at a low rate (or, as close to that as possible). I am going to call more places tomorrow. Again, thanks and I appreciate all responses received.

Self-pay
Hello, is anyone able to share prices for self-pay of lapband? I was able to find out the cash pay amount for Midwest bariatric in Chicago. But everywhere I've been calling in Illinois - is quite expensive. And am thinking of trying careone GE credit to finance. Just trying think my options through.

2009 Federal Employees Health Insurance
Hello, I have Aetna Open Access HMO (Federal Employee); Am searching unsuccessfully thus far, to find out which 2008 health insurance plan in Illinois will accept lapband without six months medically supervised diet / 5 yr weight hx. I have sleep apnea. Does anyone have any advise? Is it really too much to expect to find out ahead of time which Federal Employees Health Insurance companies will cover WLS... otherwise, I'm seriously thinking of trying to afford self-pay. Will also need to convince DH - really! Thanks
