    Stall

No worries, girl, it is absolutely normal. Just about everyone hits a stall between 3-5 weeks. Your body is going through a huge adjustment period and starting to stabilize a bit. Be patient, I promise it will pass soon. In the meantime, make sure you are also taking your measurements, because while you may not be losing pounds, you could very well still be losing inches.

    The 5:2 diet

Daisy, I would recommend making Laura-Ven a group moderator as well, as she is almost always on. That way members aren't left pending to join the group for a great deal of time.

    The 5:2 diet

I have moved the original thread into the group, and merged the two groups into one. If anyone hears of anyone having trouble joining the group, or any other issues with the group, please let me know and I will be happy to help.

    do you ever?

Ugh, I can't walk through the food court anymore, the smell of grease just makes me nauseous. I can't believe I used to live for that nasty, greasy stuff.
  9. That's okay, think of all the exercise you are getting running to the bathroom, lol.
  10. Welcome to the forums, we are so happy to have you join us. You can and will do well, just keep reminding yourself of the prize at the end. Generally, once you get past day three things do get much easier. And remember, you have all of us to support you.

    Reducing Gas Pain

I suggest limiting or eliminating any carbonated drinks for the week prior to your surgery. Carbonated drinks are noted for causing gas, and you don't want any added gas in your system prior to going into surgery that can cause additional discomfort.

    preop alcohol

It is generally recommended that you not drink alcohol for one week prior to weight loss surgery. After your surgery, your liver may become extremely sensitive. Because alcohol damages the liver and is considered a toxin, you could be setting yourself up for pain and further liver damage by drinking during the week before your surgery.

    Surgery Date tomorrow

You can definitely do this! Good luck and let us know how you are doing as soon as you feel up to it.
  19. Wow, that sounds so familiar, sadly. For the final two years I had my band, everything I ate came right back up. That is definitely not a problem with the sleeve. The only time is if I am actually physically sick with something like the flu, or I ignore my stop signal; which is quite difficult to do because it is a loud and terribly obnoxious hiccough. Fortunately, I am usually able to stop myself, so I have no problems.
  20. Your trainer is a wise one! It is vital that you keep track of your measurements for just that reason, especially once one starts lifting. Like you said, lifting shapes your body, builds muscle, etc. You may not see it immediately reflected on the scale, but your clothes will definitely start fitting better.
  21. Like others have said, most doctors repair hiatal hernias during surgery, so no worries!
